Currently, Gordon Ramsay owns a chain of restaurants that collectively hold 14 Michelin stars – an extremely desirable number. He is also the author of more than 20 cookbooks, some of which are world bestsellers.

I’ll work anywhere as long as it’s not at my dad ‘s restaurant !
Most people assume that the Ramsay children could easily follow in their father’s footsteps and work in his famous restaurant chain. However, the truth is quite the opposite; Gordon Ramsay would rather have his children work for another chef than in his own restaurants.
In an interview, Gordon admitted: “I’m assertive, I’m fair. I get a lot of criticism for my bluntness and honesty, but I don’t let that bother me.”
“For example, I wouldn’t hire my own children. I don’t want employees thinking, ‘That’s Ramsay’s child, we can’t fire them.’ If the children want to work in this cutthroat business, they have to go see another chef, learn something different, and come back with something new to improve the business ,” the renowned chef added.

Ramsay’s children will not inherit their father’s enormous fortune.
Today, Gordon Ramsay possesses a vast fortune, but that doesn’t mean his children can freely enjoy the benefits of this wealth.
The talented chef once revealed: “My children will not inherit all of my assets, that’s for sure. I chose this because I don’t want to spoil them. The only thing I agree on with my wife is that my five children will receive a 25% down payment on an apartment, but not the entire apartment. Instead, I may leave my income to some charity.”

Not entitled to luxurious privileges.
As a strict father, Ramsay revealed that his children would never get to travel in first class with him and his wife. He said, “My children don’t travel in first class with us. They don’t work hard enough to enjoy that privilege. At their age, you think they should be in first class? But our answer is no.”
Ramsay continued: “Every time we board a plane, my wife and I turn left to go into first class, while the children turn right into economy class. I tell the chief flight attendant to make sure the kids don’t come into this cabin and bother me; I want to sleep during the flight. I’ve worked very hard to be able to sit here. In general, you only deserve privileges when you’ve put in a lot of effort to get them.”

Vegetarianism is prohibited.
As a chef and culinary researcher, Gordon Ramsay has a special love for the food he cooks, and he always instills in his children a refined appreciation for every meal. There are many taboos in Ramsay’s family, one of which is vegetarianism. He once said, “My biggest nightmare is if the kids come up to me and say, ‘Dad, I want to be vegetarian.'”

There is no swearing in the Ramsay family.
This seems quite contradictory considering Gordon Ramsay’s hot temper and penchant for swearing – a character audiences are all too familiar with on television. But for the Ramsay children, swearing is not allowed.
The chef once said, ” Swearing is the language of the industry. As long as we live, it won’t change. Sometimes you have to get angry and use foul language to get things running better. My children know I use bad language. I’m saying it’s the language of the industry, and it’s not acceptable to use that kind of language with them.”

Your child’s grades aren’t that important.
Ramsay and his wife don’t place too much importance on their children getting high scores in all subjects in school exams. They believe that each child has different strengths, and in Ramsay’s case, his strength is cooking.
“I disagree with the idea of people being judged as good or bad in an exam. It bothers me because the pressure on young people today is tremendous. I wasn’t a brilliant kid at 15, and it was the same at 12 or 18. Even though I didn’t do well in school, I’m a very good cook. So I’m grateful for how I was shaped, and I think developing your abilities from the age of 11 is very important ,” the chef explained his point of view.
