The Madison: Where Mysterious Lands Echo Yellowstone’s Legacy

Yellowstone” has reached its conclusion after five seasons. But fans of Taylor Sheridan’s Western dramas won’t have to wait long for the next chapter in his expanding universe. “The Madison” (previously titled 2024), an upcoming series set within the same world, offers a fresh perspective on life in Montana while introducing new characters and conflicts. Here’s what we know so far about the latest addition to the “Yellowstone” franchise.
Set in the Madison River Valley of central Montana, “The Madison” follows the McIntosh family as they relocate from New York City to the rural West. The move presents both challenges and opportunities as the family navigates personal loss and embarks on a journey of reconnection. Described by Paramount+ as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection,” the series will explore themes of adaptation and resilience in a striking new setting.

Just like every other show Sheridan has produced over the last decade, “The Madison” features an impressive ensemble cast—this time led by Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, the matriarch facing a significant life transition, according to Deadline. “Suits” alum Patrick J. Adams stars as Russell McIntosh, an investment banker adjusting to his new environment, while Elle Chapman plays his wife, Paige.

The cast also features Matthew Fox as Paul, Beau Garrett as Abigail Reese, and Amiah Miller as Bridget Reese. Additional cast members include Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Alaina Pollack, and Danielle Vasinova.

How Does ‘The Madison’ Connect to ‘Yellowstone’?

While “The Madison” exists within the “Yellowstone” universe, details on how it directly ties into the flagship series remain unclear. There is speculation that certain characters or storylines may overlap, though no official connections have been announced. Given Sheridan’s history of weaving intricate narratives across multiple series, fans can expect some level of continuity and world-building that aligns with the larger “Yellowstone” mythology.

With “Yellowstone” concluding and other Sheridan projects in development, “The Madison” offers another compelling entry into his ever-growing television universe. Fans of “Yellowstone” and its spin-offs will likely find much to appreciate in this upcoming series. The series introduces a new family in the familiar Montana setting while Sheridan’s signature storytelling—character-driven drama, stunning cinematography, and complex interpersonal dynamics— remains at the forefront.

Unlike “Yellowstone,” which streams on Peacock due to a prior licensing agreement, “The Madison” will be available exclusively on Paramount+—where all of the other series in the Sheridanverse reside. “The Madison” is also expected to air on the Paramount Network.

No official release date has been set for “The Madison.” But production has wrapped, making a late 2025 debut a strong possibility.
