Revealing the ‘death call’ of the character in the 19+ movie Game of Thrornes

The cast of the 18+ fantasy series told each other that “That call” was a sign that a character would be eliminated from the movie.
In the spirit of “anyone can die”, the popular 18+ TV series Game of Thrones shocked the audience many times because of the departure of the characters.

As for the actors, they spread the word about “That call” coming from two show executives D.B. Weiss and David Benioff – signs that their characters will be eliminated from the film.

Game of Thrones has just killed off the character Nymeria, a member of the Sand Snakes group. She was stabbed to death by the new lord of the Iron Islands, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk). Recently, the actress who plays Nymeria, Jessica Henwick, revealed how she learned her character would be killed.

“I received a call from duo D (abbreviated from the names D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, two show executives). As soon as you heard those two calling you knew what was going to happen. If there’s only one person, maybe the reason is about the story, but with both of them, you can guess what it is.”

Jessica said that initially, Nymeria would be killed off at the end of season 7, but the producers changed their mind and wanted her to leave from the first episodes.
Actor Alexander Siddig, who plays Prince Doran Martell who was killed in season 6, also said he received a phone call from two movie executives and “you know what the purpose of that call was.” The 51-year-old actor was originally going to appear in at least four episodes of season 6, but his character’s fate ended sooner.

In particular, the case of actress Natalie Dormer playing Queen Margaery Tyrell is more different. “I asked them to release me sooner so I could participate in another project. Finally they called me and it was ‘That Call’. But I have 6 more months to stay. They said ‘We weren’t going to call because we weren’t planning on freeing you right away, you couldn’t do what you wanted anymore, we’re sorry for that. But the positive side is, we will release you in the not too distant future” – the 35-year-old actress said.

Her character was killed by Queen Cersei Lannister using blue fire in season 6. Although she did not play an important role in the story, Margaery was loved by many viewers.

In season 5, one of the most hated characters was Ser Meryn, whose throat was cut to death by Arya Stark. Actor Ian Beattie, who plays Ser Meryn, recalls when he was informed of his character’s fate.

“They said I would have had a dramatic death and of course it would have shown the true face of Ser Meryn, I thought I was about to kill Bronn or something famous like that. But no, it turned out to be quite a scary scene and also very challenging. Perhaps those were the two most miserable filming days of my career” – Ian Beattie shared.
