How Many Episodes Are Left in FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 & FBI: International Season 4 Before Their Final Goodbye in May?

Although the cancellation of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International is disappointing, both TV series still have many episodes leaving in their respective seasons to close out their stories. CBS announced its decision to end the two FBI franchise shows in March 2025, a couple of months before their finales are expected to air. As one might expect, this news has frustrated most fans of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, especially since the flagship series will continue and a third spinoff — FBI: CIA — is in the works, and will likely get picked up for the 2025–2026 TV season.

New episodes of FBI: International season 4 air on Tuesdays at 9 pm ET, followed by FBI: Most Wanted season 6 at 10 pm ET on CBS.

CBS’ canceling FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International isn’t all that surprising, though. The network has to make cuts to fit new TV series and spinoffs (and every show CBS has already renewed) into its programming lineup for the 2025–2026 season. Unfortunately, the two FBI spinoffs aren’t performing as well as CBS’ other dramas, making it easier for the network to cut them and make room for highly anticipated TV series like Sheriff Country and Boston Blue.

FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Has 8 Episodes Left Before Its Series Finale

Season 6 Will Have 22 Episodes Total

On the bright side (if fans can find one), viewers have eight episodes (nine when counting the finale) to say goodbye to the FBI: Most Wanted season 6 cast before the show inevitably ends in May 2025. The finale doesn’t have a specific premiere date yet, but it’s expected to air in May. According to Cinemablend, the police procedural series’ last season will contain 22 episodes. Since the most recent hour aired before the cancellation news broke was episode 13, eight episodes remain before FBI: Most Wanted’s series finale, and nine total episodes are left in the TV show.

Another piece of exciting news is that FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 14, “100%,” is the spinoff’s 100th episode. During the special hour, Special Agent Hana Gibson and her boyfriend, Ethan McPherson, are taken hostage, which is sure to make for a thrilling, intense, and memorable TV episode. “100%” airs on March 11, and after its premiere, seven more episodes remain before the FBI: Most Wanted series finale.

FBI: International Season 4 Has 8 Episodes Left Before Its Series Finale

Season 4 Will Have 22 Episodes Total

Similar to FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International season 4 has eight episodes before its series finale. Unfortunately, unlike FBI: Most Wanted, FBI: International won’t reach its 100th episode (unless another outlet picks it up). All the FBI TV shows run on the same schedule as they air on the same night (Tuesdays), meaning that each series’ respective 2024–2025 season will contain 22 episodes. So, since FBI: International season 4, episode 13, “You’ve Been Greenlit,” was the last hour to air before CBS announced it was canceled, the spinoff has nine total episodes (including the finale) remaining.

Can Most Wanted & International Have Satisfying Endings Given Their Remaining Episodes?

The FBI Spinoffs Haven’t Finished Filming Yet

It might not seem like it, but there is a positive that fans can take away from CBS canceling FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. The network could have easily decided to ax the TV series following their respective series finales in May 2025, meaning either could have concluded on cliffhangers. Instead, CBS has given the writers and producers time to construct fulfilling endings for the two police procedural TV shows.

Neither FBI: Most Wanted season 6 nor FBI: International season 4 have completed production. Consequently, the writers can reconstruct what they had planned for their series finales to ensure that every storyline is wrapped up by the time the FBI spinoffs officially end. Unfortunately, the last-minute change to create satisfying conclusions might lead to rushed finales. It all depends on the writers (and if they were prepared to include cliffhangers in their last episodes). Fans will just have to wait and see if FBI: Most Wanted and/or FBI: International have gratifying endings, or if CBS’ canceling the two shows irrevocably doomed them.
