
“Vought Rising,” Amazon’s upcoming prequel to “The Boys,” has added Will Hochman to its cast, Variety has learned exclusively.
Hochman joins previously announced leads Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash in the series, which was ordered at Prime Video in July 2024. Variety also reported that Mason Dye, who will appear in “The Boys” Season 5 as Bombsight, could also potentially appear in “Vought Rising.”
Exact details on Hochman’s character are being kept under wraps.

“Vought Rising” has been described as a “twisted murder mystery” that will take place in the 1950s and will see Ackles once again play Soldier Boy while Cash will again play Stormfront, a.k.a. Clara Vought. The show is expected to begin production later this year.
Hochman recently starred in five seasons of the hit CBS procedural “Blue Bloods” in the role of Joe Hill. He also recurred opposite Billy Crystal and Judith Light on the Apple TV+ series “Before.” Hochman’s film credits include “The Greatest Beer Run Ever,” “Let Him Go,” and “Critical Thinking.” He will next star alongside Deborah Ann Woll and Jeffrey Donovan in “The Cycle” for IFC and Tea Shop Films.
He is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
“The Boys” executive producer Paul Grellong will executive produce and serve as showrunner on “Vought Rising.” “The Boys” mastermind Eric Kripke also executive produces via Kripke Enterprises. Additional executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver of Point Gray Pictures, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr. Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios will produce.
