Missy and Tom welcomed their first son, Otis Paradise Oakley, on March 21, 2020, at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York. The actress has openly talked about juggling being a mom while working full-time on FBI. In January 2021, she posted a photo with Otis and revealed one of the biggest challenges she has faced. “Otis is almost 10 months old… working full time while breastfeeding is the most challenging task I’ve ever taken on…,” she wrote in the post. “I’m still sorting out all the changes in my life.
The couple had their youngest child, Mela Joséphine Oakley, on June 6, 2022, more than two years after they welcomed Otis. FBI temporarily wrote her character Maggie off the show so that Peregrym could go on maternity leave. At the end of Season 4 and the beginning of Season 5, her character was hospitalized after surviving a gas attack. After five months after giving birth, she was seen again in the CBS procedural in October 2022. Ahead of her return episode, the mother of two spoke with Entertainment Tonight about what it’s like being back at work after maternity leave. “I was immersed in family life for six months, really taking my space to focus on the kids and connecting with Tom. I was nervous and sad to split my time again. But the second I went back to work and was surrounded by the team, I felt like I could do both things,” she explained. “I am grateful for the support at work; Mela has been great with the adjustment, and I feel blessed to have her on set with me.”

John Boyd (Stuart Scola)
FBI’s John Boyd, who plays FBI agent Stuart Scola, has three kids with his wife Nicole Vicius, whom he married in 2012. They have one boy and two girls (Boyd has not yet released the names of his children). In an interview with the Rachel Ray Show in October 2022, the actor explained why his daughter Charlie started using his wife’s last name instead of his own.
“I think it’s because she’s got a really cool last name. My wife’s name is Addie Lane,” he explained. “Charlie Lane, it makes you immortal. You’re a street name. And it could also be because she’s embarrassed of me.”

Alana de la Garza (Isobel Castille)
Alana de la Garza, who joined FBI in Season 2 as Isobel Castille, married her long-time boyfriend, Michael Roberts, in May 2008. They share two children together. Their son, Kieran, was born in September 2010, while their daughter, Liv Elena, was born in July 2013. “It feels like our little family is complete. She’s been here a week and I just can’t imagine our lives without her,” the former Law & Order actress told People shortly after Liv was born.
She continued: “Not to sound like a total mush, but even at 3 a.m., with breast milk all over my shirt, I just stare at her in awe and thank God that I have two healthy beautiful babies,” the 37-year-old actress told People. “I love seeing my son with a look of adoration at his new ‘baby sista.’ I love seeing my husband cuddle our children, and I love looking at my kids and feeling like our family is complete.”
She added that Kieran was so excited to be a big brother. “He was so excited and in awe! He kept kissing her forehead and saying ‘Baby sista’s not in Mama’s belly anymore!’” she said at the time. “It was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen and most proud I’ve ever been.”
In October 2022, the actress shared her daily routine with Us Weekly. Her everyday schedule includes packing her children’s lunches, dropping her kids off at school and cuddling with her family before bed. She said that in the late afternoon, it’s time to “prep dinner and pack lunches for school tomorrow before my kids eat everything I’ve pulled out.” But perhaps the sweetest moment is when she snuggles “with some of my favorite humans before bed.”
