However, this was surprising, as Jack had not appeared since Blue Bloods season 14, episode 11. Thus, there was no story centered around Erin and Jack deciding to get back together; that happens off-screen, and “Entitlement” reveals that they are a couple again as part of a subplot involving Erin trying to set Anthony (Steve Schirripa) up on a date with a woman who comes into the office as a potential witness in a case. When there is only one Blue Bloods episode left, it is unlikely there will be much follow-up to this revelation.
Erin’s Rushed Blue Bloods Ending Hints At Other Reagans Having A Similar Fate
The Blue Bloods Finale May Be Too Quick To Be Satisfying

While it’s nice that Erin is content, it’s not nearly as satisfying as it would have been had it been given a full story beat. There are five episodes between Jack’s last appearance and “Entitlement,” and Jack simply asking when he would be forgiven by Blue Bloods’ Reagan family is not enough to earn the payoff of him and Erin walking arm-in-arm. Unfortunately, this unsatisfying ending for Erin is concerning because it suggests that the entire finale may be handled the same way.

Blue Bloods is set to wrap up soon, but there are several things that absolutely cannot happen as part of the cop and family drama’s finale.
What’s Left For The Rest Of The Reagans In The Blue Bloods Finale
Several Reagan Family Members’ Fates Are Still Undetermined
Hopefully, Eddie will announce a pregnancy at some point during the finale so that there is at least some payoff for her discussion with Jamie about starting a family. Additionally, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez (Marisa Ramirez) should explore whether their feelings for each other could lead somewhere, as well as Danny dealing with the job-related burnout he’s been experiencing lately. These stories should all have been a top priority during the final season, but the best that can be hoped for now is that each character gets a happy ending.
This includes there also needing to be some happiness in store for the older characters. Even if Frank (Tom Selleck) doesn’t retire, he should make some changes to close out his central conflict between his obligations to the NYPD and to his family. Blue Bloods should also address Henry (Len Cariou) despite him having had little to do during this final season. Hopefully, these conclusions will be given the respect they deserve, but it doesn’t seem likely given how little time is left to set anything up.
