CBS Just Made a Shocking Move on 2 FBI Shows — Are These Their Final Episodes?

Many social media users expressed their anger when CBS canceled two fan-favorite shows – ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ and ‘FBI: International’. Variety reported a few weeks ago that the network would cancel the series, which was a spin-off of FBI, after its current seasons.

This comes after FBI, which began in 2018, was renewed for three more seasons last April. It will air through 2027.

‘FBI: Most Wanted’ is the first spin-off of ‘FBI’. It premiered in 2020 and was originally helmed by Julian McMahon, Kellan Lutz, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Nathanial Arcand. McMahon left at the end of season 3, leaving Dylan McDermott as the main cast member.

On the other hand, ‘FBI: International’ is set to air in 2021 with Luke Kleintank, Heida Reed, Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, and Christiane Paul in the lead roles.

Another spin-off, ‘FBI: CIA’, was announced in January this year. Dick Wolf is the writer and executive producer of the show along with David Hudgins, Nicole Perlman, David Chasteen, and Peter Jankowski.

Reacting to the show’s end, one fan tweeted, “So FBI International and FBI Most Wanted are getting canceled?! Another wrote, “I just heard that 2 of my shows got canceled. Why were FBI International and Most Wanted canceled? Both were great shows with a lot of potential. No reason given in the articles I read.”
“So let me be clear, I have to somehow move to next fall/spring with the uncertainty of the hunt group, swat canceled, fbi international and fbi most wanted,” a second person said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“I hope they decide to put FBI International and Most Wanted on Paramount+ or something. “These shows are too good to be canceled,” a third person tweeted.
Here are the potential endings for the two series

FBI: Most Wanted (Season 6)
Possible conclusion: Dick Wolf’s shows often end with a combination of case resolution and character arcs. The 100th episode (Season 6, Episode 14, “100%”), which will air soon, features Hana Gibson (Keisha Castle-Hughes) and her boyfriend Ethan in a hostage crisis, according to ScreenRant. This could be a pivotal moment that tests the team’s cohesion. The finale could focus on a major takedown — perhaps a returning villain or a personal enemy of Remy’s — while also resolving loose ends:

Remy: Could cement his relationship with Abby or choose solitude, reflecting his growth from loner to activist leadership.

Nina: Could make peace with Scola, could transfer back to the FBI (since Shantel VanSanten started there), offering a guest-friendly exit.

The Team: Sheryll Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) and Ray Cannon (Edwin Hodge) could have a heroic farewell, like a promotion or personal milestone (e.g., Ray’s family ties in New Orleans).
FBI: International (Season 4)
Possible conclusion: The Flight Squad’s global mission suggests an international finale—perhaps a multinational operation. The main storylines that could be resolved are as follows:

Wes: Episode 16, “Little Angel,” teases an emotional rift with Ella, who seeks help to rescue an American executive in Prague. The finale could see Wes confront his past (e.g., the root cause of their breakup) while leading a daring mission, cementing his role as a determined leader.

The Team: Original members like Cameron Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) and Andre Raines (Carter Redwood) could have their moments—Vo solving a high-tech case, Raines putting his field skills to use. Tank the Dog could even be heroically saved.

The End: The cancellation would increase the chances of FBI: CIA, so the ending could plant the seeds for that spinoff (e.g., a domestic terrorism case transferred to New York), while also giving Fly Team a triumphant exit—either disbanding honorably or moving elsewhere.
