General Hospital Recap April 14: Willow’s Guardianship Blunder, Alexis Delays Commitment, and Trouble for Kai & Trina

Portia Robinson Chimes In

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is talking to her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), about Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Athrup) deciding to have the risky surgery that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) suggested.

Portia had just finished researching the spine surgery and hadn’t had a chance to tell Kai her thoughts on it. She also can’t share much with Trina because of confidentiality.

They continue talking, and Trina doesn’t want him to go through with it because even if the surgery is a success and Kai can play football again, she’ll worry always that he is seconds away from an injury or paralysis.

Trina leaves, and Kai does end up talking to Portia, who tells him that she would not recommend the spinal surgery.

Two people have left paralyzed after it, three have had no change, and two more were healed. Kai says that he doesn’t care because he believes that he will be the third successful story.

Rocco Falconeri Reminds Sonny Corinthos About What Matters Most

Across town, General Hospital recaps for Monday note that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) wanted to see Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) to give him a heads up on the trouble that Councilman Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) is starting over their friendship.

She told Sonny that there is still a possibility that the city can seize his waterfront property over the Esplanade project.

Laura explains that the public will be voting on where the Esplanade should be located, and there is a chance that they will want it on the piers where Sonny’s business is located.

He tells her that his attorney will fight like hell to keep him where he is at and Laura understands. They start to clash a little and are interrupted by Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), who is there to practice his public speaking with Laura.

Sonny sticks around to listen, and once Rocco finishes, they are all reminded of what is most important, the family.

Drew Cain Oversteps

Over to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), she drops in to tell Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) that she just went off on Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and may have messed up custody of the children.

Carly is fighting on behalf of her son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who is recovering in a German burn unit. She explains to Jack how insults were traded and she nearly hit Willow.

Jack calms Carly down and tells her that he believes that she is fine. This is the point where Drew will likely overstep in a way that makes Willow look nuts, securing custody for Michael.

Meanwhile, Willow is reeling after Carly’s visit. She told Drew that she had never been on the receiving end of her wrath before, and she felt like Carly never cared about her at all.

She also told him that she is worried that Michael will ultimately get custody. Drew leaves the room for a minute, leaving Willow to talk to her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), who tries to reassure her that she is not a horrible person.

Nina strongly suggests that Willow compromise with Carly while she has a slight advantage. Carly overreacted, so if Willow stays calm, it may go a long way with the judge.

Nina leaves, and Drew tells Willow that he has drawn up custody papers. They state that in the event of anything happening to either of them, they each have custody of the other’s children.

Willow agrees to sign, thinking nothing of cutting Michael completely out of the equation.

Alexis Davis Hesitates

General Hospital recaps for Monday, April 14 state that Ava Jerome (Maura West) visits Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) at the hospital and fills him in on her chat with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

She believes that Alexis will be easily bribed, and she has to decide by 9 AM the next day. Ava thinks it is a done deal, but Ric isn’t so sure.

He thinks that Ava has given Alexis until 9 AM to find a way out of being blackmailed.

Ric is on board with the blackmail because it will keep his daughter, Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos), from losing another sister.

He also contemplates out loud whether or not Ava might try to screw him out of his cash from the deal, something she swears won’t happen.

Monday, April 14, 2025

Alexis is on the phone with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), who drew up the papers to have Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) committed.

Alexis says that she will sign the papers that night, then walks in her front door to find Kristina and Molly setting up for a family night.

They have food and are ready to watch movies. Alexis is clearly struggling to keep it together as she watches her girls reconnect for the first time in months.

Alexis takes a break outside and pulls the commitment paperwork from her bag, but puts it away before signing it.
