In the all-new episode of FBI: International airing tonight, Tuesday, April 15, the Fly Team heads to Georgia, where a military training center was attacked to divert attention from another plan in motion. “The Fly Team heads to the country of Georgia to determine the motive behind an attack that targeted two American soldiers at a NATO-Georgia joint training center before it turns into an international incident. Meanwhile, a supervisory position opens in another FBI division in Europe, and Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) encourages both Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) and Raines (Carter Redwood) to apply,” reads the logline for FBI: International Season 4, Episode 18, “Lone Wolf.” CBS released a sneak peek of the episode, previewing a conversation between Wes, Vo, and Raines, where the boss breaks the news that could see someone depart from the fly team.
Wes is not the kind of boss who likes making a big deal out of everything, so when Raines and Vo are called to his office, they anticipate a serious conversation. In the video below, Wes informs them that a GS14 position has opened at HQ and the FBI is looking for someone experienced and competent to fill it. “This is a fast-track position,” Wes says. “They’re interested in you — both of you,” he adds. While the opportunity is great, it puts them against each other, and they request some time to think things over. “A gig like this does not come around often,” Wes says, stressing the significance of the opportunity they are presented with. “Deadline’s midnight,” he adds. No pressure at all! As the show races towards the series finale, it is expected that the characters’ futures will be addressed, and the new position seems like the beginning of the end for the Fly Team as it currently stands.
‘FBI: International’ Prepares to Say Goodbye
Vo and Raines being considered for another opportunity is the kind of storyline crafted to write out a character decently. However, since FBI: International is ending after four seasons, the writers might be breaking the team up. Episode 18 is only one episode away from the two-hour finale, which sees the team hunting for a serial killer in Tokyo. Exit storylines will accelerate in the coming episodes before the show signs off for good. The series finale airs on CBS on Tuesday, May 20.
