“New Yorkers Are Now at Risk” in ‘FBI’ Season 7 Episode 19 Sneak Peek

The clock ticks ever closer to the May 20 finale of FBI Season 7, with the ups, downs, and in betweens of this current season proving that the Emmy Award-winning Dick Wolf‘s procedural is yet again one of the best of its kind on television. Despite having just a 63% overall rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, it’s clear that the trajectory in quality is moving upward for FBI, especially if Season 7 is anything to go by. Last night, Episode 18, “Blkpill,” took on the topic of toxic masculinity, one that remains prevalent on our screens right now.

Next up for the New York City field office criminal division, with just a handful of episodes remaining, is an explosive mission that threatens the lives of everyone in the city. Thanks to the release of the upcoming Episode 19 promo available to watch below, we now know that the team looks to be facing one of their toughest tasks of the season so far. “There are dangerous explosives in the wrong hands. New Yorkers are now at risk,” the promo begins, with it confirmed that the crafting of dirty bombs is putting everyone’s lives in peril. This would be a tall order for most, but for the likes of Maggie (Missy Peregrym) and OA (Zeeko Zaki), it’s just another day in the office.

The ‘FBI’ Spinoffs Are Coming to An End

The world has loved Wolf’s many procedurals for decades, but perhaps the best asset these shows have is their ability to spawn spinoffs. For FBI, both International and Most Wanted have proven popular offshoots, although this was sadly not enough to see them last longer than their current runs. Back in March, it was officially announced that both Most Wanted and International would finish following their current seasons. Due to heavy budget cuts, Dylan McDermott‘s Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott will be handing in his badge after six seasons, with the finale set for 10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 20. This will take place a week after the two-hour series finale of International on May 13, with next month proving devastating for FBI fans.

However, it isn’t all doom and gloom for the millions of viewers the franchise regularly brings in, with the slate clearing leaving the runway free for a safe landing for the new upcoming spinoff, FBI: CIA. Although some are upset that both International and Most Wanted would be axed in favor of this latest installment, it is worth allowing CBS and Wolf Entertainment the chance to let CIA flourish, especially given their proven track record. As for the flagship series, there’s plenty more still to come, with the show officially secured for three seasons back in April 2024.
