Now that Michael is temporarily gone from Port Charles, General Hospital fans are asking another actor to bring his character back to life.
Brother Swap
Bryan Craig is best remembered for playing Morgan from 2013-2016. Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) son met a devastating end when he was blown up in a car meant for Julian (William deVry). Since, Craig has returned twice as Morgan’s ghost, once in 2018 and again last summer when Morgan appeared to literally talk his dad off the ledge of the hospital.
The two-time Emmy winner often expresses his gratitude for GH, and recently took to Instagram for a trip down Port Charles memory lane.
“Little throwback to the madness that was Sonny and Morgan,” Craig wrote in the caption of a still from an old episode where Sonny seems to be shaking some sense into his off-the-rails son.
The comment section immediately filled with fans eager for the actor’s return to the soap, with many speculating the character isn’t truly dead.
“Til this day I believe Morgan is alive,” one wrote, while another said, “You returning would spice the show up so much.”
Many fans were quick to mention the recent GH episode that ended with a shot of Morgan and Michael (Chad Duell) framed on Sonny’s desk, wondering if Craig’s post was hinting at something.
“Hmm. A picture of 2 brothers recently. Now father and son. Get your ass home,” one fan joked. “You’re teasing us knowing how bad we want you back,” said another.
Speculation aside, many noted the real-life bond between Craig and Benard, one saying, “Would love to see a real reunion!!”
Benard and Craig did reunite last year for a live taping of State of Mind, where the two delved into Craig’s 2024 return, as well as Morgan’s bipolar storyline and their fast on-set friendship.
