Chicago PD Season 12, Episode 18 Release Date & Time

The main plot of Chicago PD Season 12 has centered around Hank Voight and his newest nemesis, the corrupt Deputy Chief Reid. Reid has now been well-established as a villain, and as one of the few people actually capable of being an equal match for Voight. And, with his storyline continuing in Season 12, Episode 18, “Demons,” there’s no telling what he’ll do next.

The heated conflict between Officers Voight and Reid may be reaching a boil in this week’s new episode of Chicago PD. And Reid isn’t the only returning figure, as Nina Chapman is also confirmed to be appearing in “Demons.” The duo of her and Voight has been effective in the past, but there’s no guarantee they’ll come out on top this time around, or how their work may impact the future of their relationship.

Voight and Chapman are Teaming Up to Take Down Reid in Chicago PD Season 12, Episode 18, “Demons

The past several episodes of Chicago PD have taken detours away from Season 12’s ongoing plot, surrounding Hank Voight and Deputy Chief Reid’s personal war. Episode 16 spotlighted on Kim Burgess, while Episode 17 focused on Kevin Atwater and Val Soto. While these episodes were superb, and did a terrific job continuing the personal storylines of their protagonists, Season 12, Episode 18, “Demons” is putting the focus back on Voight and Reid.

Since Voight and Reid’s last clash in Season 12, Episode 15, “Greater Good,” fans have been eager to see the next battle between them. NBC has released a logline for “Demons” that indicates the episode will be delivering on that, and more. It reads, “Voight and Chapman work together to uncover Deputy Chief Reid’s shadow dealings as Reid assigns Intelligence to a carjacking case.”

As briefly shown in the episode’s promo, the carjacking sub-plot will lead to some thrilling action. And, as happy as some fans may be to see Reid again, Nina Chapman’s return is just as welcome. Chapman has been a recurring character since Chicago PD Season 9, and she’s been widely recognized as the best potential love interest for Voight. Her role in Season 12 has helped to expand on who she is as a character, and led to her confessing that she does possess feelings for Voight. Voight has generally forgone romantic relationships, the series’ hero largely defined by the loss of his late wife Camille, and thus him entering a new relationship would be breaking new ground for the character.
