‘Chicago Fire’ Season 13, Episode 19 Sneak Peek Has Carver and Violet Searching for a Rogue Medic

Following hot on the heels of Boden’s explosive return to Firehouse 51, which was as thrilling as promised, Chicago Fire Season 13 is set to welcome back another major character in the next episode. Carver, who has been missing in action from the station after he went on a sabbatical to prioritize his mental health, will make his triumphant return in Episode 19’s “Permanent Damage.” The character, portrayed by Jake Lockett, is fond of making surprise reappearances on the show, and it’s been teased that this will yet again be the case. During the time he was away in rehab, Carver sort of ghosted Violet as several attempts she made at reaching him turned futile, but perhaps his decision was best. Following their breakup, the couple have been in denial about their feelings for each other, going on to date other people. Carver’s romance with Tori was the first to end, and while Violet went on to date Flyn (Steven Strait), subsequent episodes suggest that she might still harbor some feelings for Carver. A recent episode saw her confess to Novak (Jocelyn Hudon) and Ritter (Daniel Kyri) that she really misses Carver, and it is likely that “Permanent Damage” will further explore their relationship dynamic.

The teaser below offers a glimpse of the two working together as Violet teams up with Carver to track down a rogue paramedic who’s reportedly been abandoning victims mid-treatment, putting lives at serious risk. Deeply alarmed, Violet fears that if no one steps in, the next call could end in tragedy. Their search quickly takes a dark turn as they wind up at a suspicious address, only for the teaser to end on a chilling note, with both Carver and Violet held at gunpoint after knocking on what may be the medic’s door.

Jake Lockett Is Departing ‘Chicago Fire’ After Season 13

Hopes for a blossoming romance between Carver and Violet took a major hit following reports yesterday that Lockett will be exiting the series after Season 13. The same report also confirmed that Ritter actor, Daniel Kyri, will be departing the series as well. Their exits are reportedly part of broader budgetary adjustments, as many broadcast shows continue to navigate financial pressures.
