Fans found themselves doing a double-take when their favorite characters from two iconic Dick Wolf franchises collided off-screen.
Taylor Kinney and Ice T— real name Tracy Lauren Marrow—were responsible for the surprise Chicago Fire and Law & Order: SVU crossover in the wild
The rapper and actor shared a photo of Kinney’s rare appearance at the grand opening of a local New Jersey business called The Medicine Woman, a venture that they are both reportedly partners in.
“Yesterday’s Grand Opening was CRAZY.. Shout out to one of the @themedwomannj ‘s actual Partners @taylorkinney111CHICAGO FIRE 🔥” the caption noted of the opening in Ice T’s hometown, as the two actors posed together.
Kinney’s appearance tickled fans as he doesn’t post on Instagram much. He traded in his firefighter uniform for a more laid-back fit with black pants, a button-up flannel and a hat that repped the recently opened store. Meanwhile, Ice T donned a Dolce & Gabbana tracksuit with a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.
Kinney’s wife, Ashley Cruger, was also in attendance at the ribbon cuttin ceremony, along with Ice-T’s wife, Coco Austin, and their daughter, Chanel.

Of course, the team-up had fans asking for an actual crossover on NBC, while others simply congratulated them on the new venture.
“IceT and Taylor Kenney [sic] in the same picture? Two GREAT actors! All heart and soul,” one fan chimed in
Ice T shared another video from the opening, writing, “If you missed our Grand Opening of the Medicine Woman Jersey City… You played yourself! Thanks for all the support! Afterparty Tonight!
Kinney has starred as Kelly Severide on the hit procedural drama for 13 seasons, with a brief hiatus during season 12, while Ice T joined SVU in 2000 during season 2 as Odafin “Fin” Tutuola, remaining a staple character ever since.
