Pamela Anderson and Nicholas Alexander Chavez to Star in ‘Camino Real’ Revival at Williamstown Theatre Festival

Following her Golden Globe and SAG Award nominated performance in The Last Showgirl, Pamela Anderson is heading to the stage where she will co-star with none other than former General Hospital star and Daytime Emmy winner, Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine) in the Tennessee Williams play Camino Real at the renowned Williamtown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Chavez, will also be featured this summer in the remake of the horror classic I Know What You Did Last Summer, after starring in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, and his role in FX’s Grotesquerie.

In his upcoming stage appearance, Nicholas will be taking on the role of “Kilroy” while Anderson plays ‘Marguerite,’ with Whitney Peak as ‘Esmerelda.’  One Life to Live favorite, Florencia Lozano (ex-Tea Delgado) is also part of the stellar cast.

This production marks the first significant revival since the 1999 Williamstown production, reimagined and directed by Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning theater and opera director, Dustin Wills. Camino Real will run from Saturday, July 19 through Sunday, August 3 on the MainStage.

In the play, Camino Real is a dead end, a police state in an imagined Latin-Mediterranean-American country, and an inescapable condition. Characters from history and literature such as Don Quixote, Casanova, and Camille inhabit this phantasmagoric plaza where corruption and alienation have nearly destroyed the human spirit.

Enter Kilroy (Nicholas Chavez), a prize-winning boxer and all-American fella with “a heart as big as the head of a baby. Camino Real unfolds over a series of sixteen dizzying “blocks” and is a clarion call to the Romantics of the world—drowning in an ocean of cynicism, suspicion, and censorship—to use their indefatigable spirit as a life raft.
