Kristina (Kate Mansi) has been in a bad way since losing the baby she was carrying as a surrogate for her sister, Molly (Kristen Vaganos.) She went so far as to rename the baby after Molly had already chosen a name.
Kristina’s mental state has continued to decline. She sought revenge against Ava (Maura West) by cutting the brake line on a car, injuring Ric (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) instead.
Molly and Kristina’s mother, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn,) finally takes a drastic step to get Kristina help. She had papers drawn up to commit Kristina to a mental health facility. However, Kristina found the papers. The preview clip shows the mom and daughter having an intense confrontation. Will Kristina finally get the help she needs, one way or another?
Sonny Gets A Surprise Visitor
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is another character desperate for help. His heart problems led him to open heart surgery this week. But he kept his family in the dark about the medical problem. He finally confided in Carly (Laura Wright.)
His ex insisted on accompanying him to Los Angeles for the surgery. Sonny’s security expert, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) is also on hand for the procedure. Many fans are concerned that the show is killing Sonny off amid rumors that actor Maurice Benard is retiring from General Hospital.
ABC executive Nathan Varni teased on social media ahead of Monday’s episode that Sonny gets an unexpected visitor from someone from his past.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) have a long history together. They were recently hooking up until she found out that he was also sleeping with her daughter, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen.)
With Willow out of town visiting Michael (last played by Chad Duell) in the burn clinic in Germany, it’s the perfect time for Nina to get revenge. The teaser for this week shows her handing a vial to a prostitute.
“I want Drew to have a night that everyone in Port Charles will never forget,” she tells the woman. Will Willow return to town in time to save Drew from whatever her mom has planned?
