Tension Rises as Flula Borg Needs Help in Latest ‘The Rookie’ Clip

Something is going on with Skip Tracer Randy (Flula Borg): he’s in love again. However, luck has never been something the bounty hunter can rely on and, as fate would have it, trouble knocks in The Rookie Season 7, Episode 17, “Mutiny and Bounty.” “The team helps Skip Tracer Randy when his new love interest is kidnapped. Meanwhile, Angela (Alyssa Diaz) and Nyla (Mekia Cox) enlist their moms to help catch a con artist, and Wesley is threatened to drop a case,” reads the logline for the episode airing this Tuesday, May 6.ABC released a sneak peek (via Parade) which shows Randy’s comeback, and he returns with news while seeking help from Bailey.

For some reason, Bailey and Randy are besties now, at least in Randy’s mind. “I’m struggling with a major problem. One that has plagued mankind since it rose from the primordial ooze and ate from the pornographic apple. I am in love,” he says without skipping a beat after inviting himself into Nolan’s house. That’s not the most shocking part because the next piece of news leaves Nolan floored.

“The object of my affection is none other than the beautiful, talented and unnervingly flexible Chastity Snead (Meg DeLacy),” Randy says revealing his feelings from Nolan’s half-brother’s, Pete (Pete Davidson), girlfriend.

He claims he wants to make a grand romantic gesture and hopes to win her favor. All he needs is some help. Nolan and Bailey were already running out of time in their morning rush and Randy’s stories are not helping. However, he gets their undivided attention when he mentions he will pay them $100000 from the hundreds of millions he made in cryptocurrency. They will have enough to fix their roof and have some left over. But as we know from the promo, winning Chastity’s is the least of their problems after she’s kidnapped and the kidnappers demand millions in ransom. Is this connected to Randy’s massive crypto haul?

‘The Rookie’s Showrunner Addresses Aaron Thorsen’s Return
The Rookie’s showrunner Alexi Hawley recently talked to Collider about a character who viewers have missed in Season 7. Tru Valentino exited the series after Season 6, but viewers have been interested in knowing whether he’s coming back. “I mean, these are the hard things you do as a showrunner, and in the writers’ room, is to try and keep the storytelling moving forward and making hard choices about what we’re going to focus on and what we’re not,” Hawley prefaced, then added:

“That being said I love Tru and I have loved Aaron’s storyline, and so, yeah, I think we’ll definitely see him again down the road.”
