Roseanne Barr Exposes Hollywood’s Hypocrisy in Leaked Message to Candace Owens: ‘She’s a Jew Hater’

In a heated revelation on her show, political commentator Candace Owens has put comedian Roseanne Barr on blast, exposing a private message that completely contradicts Barr’s on-air threats and wild accusations. After calling Owen out and threatening her during a podcast appearance, Barr sent a follow-up message softening her stance.

Barr has always been a controversial figure in the entertainment industry due to a series of provocative statements and actions over the years. Now, this exchange has highlighted her performative nature and how fake Hollywood can be. For Owen, this was the final straw in her perception of the “performative and fake” nature of Hollywood.

Candace Owens responded to Roseanne Barr’s accusation and threat

In her recent Candace episode, number 178, Candace Owens called out veteran comedian Roseanne Barr for making aggressive, unfounded accusations during a recent podcast appearance. While appearing on the Mislabeled Podcast, Barr accused Owens of being “funded by Qatar,” labeled her an “Islamist,” and threatened to knock her out,

If I see that b****, I’ll knock her the f*** out. She’s an Islamist… Everything she says is straight out of it… It’s obviously came down to this, she’s taking the Qatari money.

Barr, who is a proud Jew, also claimed Owen is a Jew hater,

She’s getting paid by Jews, so she was doing that number… But I think when she got fired for being a Jew hater and she is a Jew hater on every level…

Owen is noted for her criticism of Israel, which is why “pro-Israel” Barr might speculate about Qatar funding, as Qatar is sometimes linked to anti-Israel narratives in geopolitical discourse. She responded on her platform that she was never offered funding from Qatar; rather, she declared she would love to get funded by them.

Owen shared the clip and offered context from her personal experience with Barr, revealing they once shared a friendly relationship. She also appeared on Owen’s show in 2019, where she made a controversial statement referring to women involved in the #MeToo movement as “hos.” These remarks made widespread criticism and added to Barr’s reputation for making provocative comments.

Owen also claimed that Barr says these controversial things are “over the top and theatrical.” However, her public and private personas come out when Owen exposes her private message in this episode.

Candace Owen exposed Roseanne Barr with her private message after the public accusation

Following the podcast, Barr reached out to Owens privately to downplay her earlier comments. Rather than respond with rage, Owens used the moment to pull back the curtain on what she sees as a culture of hypocrisy among celebrities. She revealed a private message Barr sent her after the podcast recording, in which the comedian appeared to walk back her comments. Barr wrote,

Well, I did it again. This time I was super triggered and made a rather aggressive comment on a podcast about you… I suspect that they’re going to try to make it go viral to pump up their podcast.

Barr’s message continued,

Obviously, you and I have big disagreements, and I’m a crazy old Jewish lady… Hopefully, you treat it as another big-mouth Roseanne moment.

Owens questioned why such admissions are made in private while the public is fed rage and spectacle. She urged her to reveal this on X (Twitter). Despite the harsh public words, Owens declined to escalate further, citing her respect for Barr as an elder and her lack of interest in engaging in personal feuds. Still, she felt compelled to expose the inconsistency among celebrities, stating, “But I want people to understand: nothing is real. Everyone’s fake.”

With Barr’s history of controversy, from racist tweets to conspiracy theories, this latest exchange adds to her reputation as another divisive figure. For Owens, it was another opportunity to reveal the mask of celebrity culture.
