
Following the success of the first season, FBI Season 2 premiered on September 24, 2019, with the return of the main cast and the addition of new faces. The season consisted of 19 episodes and aired on CBS.

Season 2 saw a shift in the team’s composition, with Alana de la Garza joining as Special Agent Isobel Castille, replacing Sela Ward’s character. John Boyd also joined the cast as Special Agent Stuart Scola, a new partner to Kristen Chazal (Ebonée Noel).
The season continued to tackle complex cases, including kidnappings, terrorism, and national security threats. One standout episode, “Little Egypt,” featured a bombing at a restaurant in Queens, which hit personally for OA, who grew up in that area.

While Season 2 received positive feedback from fans, production was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Three of the season’s final episodes could not be completed, leading to the season’s conclusion with the episode “Emotional Rescue” on March 31, 2020.
