Big Moves & Bold Bets: Inside CBS’s Game-Changing Fall 2025 Lineup

The CBS fall 2025 schedule is here, and there’s a lot of change!

Get ready for fall TV. CBS is the first of the Big 5 broadcast networks to announce its fall 2025 schedule, and there are some big changes on the way.

There are a few notable shows missing from the fall lineup. One of those is Watson, which is being held for the midseason. That does make sense when you consider it was a midseason series this year.

However, the fall 2025 schedule is shaping up to be exciting, with a great mixture of new and returning shows in the mix. Yes, shows like Boston Blue and Sheriff Country will debut in the fall, and NCIS and FBI will return. The only night that remains the same, though, is Thursday.

Let’s take a look at some of the most notable changes to the CBS fall 2025 schedule. NCIS is on the move (again) and this time to a timeslot that we love. It’s moving back to Tuesdays, kicking off an entire night of NCIS drama. NCIS: Origins will then follow, and NCIS: Sydney is moving to the fall! The third season will air in the 10 p.m. timeslot, once held by NCIS: New Orleans.

Color me salty, but I still wish NCIS: Hawaii was still on the air. That would have made a great series with the flagship and one of the other shows on Tuesdays!

What about FBI Tuesdays? Well, FBI is moving to Monday nights, where it will be followed by the new spinoff series CIA. This makes sense as there are now just two FBI shows on the air in the franchise compared to the three NCIS shows.

Fridays will also see a change due to SWAT ending and NCIS: Sydney moving to Tuesdays. Fire Country remains in the middle slot. Surprisingly, Sheriff Country is going to start the night — usually, networks will want to start with a legacy show and then run into a freshman series, but it’s clear that CBS has high hopes for the Fire Country spinoff — and then Boston Blue will take over its predecessor’s timeslot. We can’t complain about Friday nights!

Then there’s Sundays, which will see a major change, with only Tracker as a scripted drama on that night. It will lead into The Road, a new singing competition. This makes sense for the fall considering the pre-emptied times now and then due to football. The spring will see another change as the Yellowstone spinoff will take over the second timeslot of the night.
