‘The Good Doctor’ Star Noah Galvin Marks His Show Exit With a Sweet Message

THE GOOD DOCTOR - Ò365 DegreesÓ Ð Shaun invites Aaron to stay with him while he has exterminators at his house and Lea realizes both men have a lot more in common than she realized. Meanwhile, Dr. Morgan Reznick wrestles with a big decision about her career and her personal life on an all-new episode of ÒThe Good Doctor,Ó MONDAY, FEB. 6 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. (ABC/Jeff Weddell) NOAH GALVIN, BRANDON LARRACUENTE

Noah Galvin is saying farewell to The Good Doctor after his character, Dr. Asher Wolke, was killed off in this week’s episode (“Who At Peace”).

Acknowledging his exit on Instagram, the actor wrote, “I spent the last four years in Vancouver working away from my fiancee and dog and family. It was hard but these people made it really worth it. I love you @thegooddoctorabc thank you for everything!!”

The heartfelt message sits alongside a carousel of sweet (and wonderfully weird!) behind-the-scene snaps and video of The Good Doctor cast and crew.
Asher’s sendoff on the show wasn’t exactly pleasant. In a twist no one saw coming, he was beaten to death in an antisemitic attack, all while his boyfriend sat waiting for him at a nearby restaurant, where he was planning to propose.
Viewers can expect to see the emotional fallout of that tragedy in next week’s episode, airing Thursday, April 9, at 10 p.m. ET. Meantime, fans can take comfort in Galvin’s generous IG offering, which includes video of Dr. Glassman and Co. singing “Maybe” from the musical Annie. The salve we never knew we needed.
