Things are quietening down on broadcast TV, but they’re not silent. Here’s what to watch between May 12 and 18.
It’s time for another week of TV, and broadcast is starting to get a little quiet. A lot of networks have aired their season finales, while others are gearing up for them in the coming weeks. However, there are plenty of shows to watch between Monday, May 12 and Sunday, May 18.
At the same time, there are shows to skip. When we say skip, we mean to wait until they’re available on streaming the following day. After all, you will want to check out what happened, especially if they have finales next week.
What to watch: Will Trent
Tuesday is packed with some great TV shows, and it can be difficult to choose what to watch and skip. Tonight, opt for the season finale of Will Trent. There were some huge reveals in the previous episode, including the man who is Will’s biological father. It looks like Caleb is sticking around, especially since there is still a big villain to take down.
The hospital is dealing with a major virus, and Ormewood and Nico are stuck inside the hospital and just need to hope that they don’t end up sick. Meanwhile, Will and Faith will need to get to the bottom of the organization that has unleashed this bioweapon into the air.
Will Trent airs on Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC.
What to watch: FBI: International
You’ll want to check out the new episode of FBI: International. All three FBI shows are airing penultimate episodes this week, but for International, it’s the start of a two-part finale. The team is finally putting the “Fly” into Fly Team, as they head out to Japan to deal with a case.
It all starts in Budapest, with the murder of an American student and sex worker. The crime links to a case out in Japan, and the FBI wants to find out if the two cases are connected. We’ll also hopefully get some sort of update about Vo and Raines against each other for the GS-14 position.
FBI: International airs on Tuesday at 9/8c on CBS.
What to skip: America’s Most Wanted: John Walsh’s Dirty Dozen
If you had to wait until the next day to watch something, it’s going to have to be the FOX show America’s Most Wanted. Specifically, you’ll want to wait for John Walsh’s Dirty Dozen, as this is a countdown of episodes past. Host John Walsh is taking us through his Top 12.
There are too many other shows to watch, and this will be available to stream on Hulu the following day. Mondays are also packed with America’s Most Wanted, and you could probably hold off until Tuesdays to watch them on streaming as well.
America’s Most Wanted: John Walsh’s Dirty Dozen airs on Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX.
What to watch: Sullivan’s Crossing
Turn your attention to The CW to start Wednesday night instead. Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 begins, and it’s time for Maggie to try to leave the past in the past. She’s committed to a new life in the Crossing, and that’s what she needs to focus on.
It’s not that easy when it comes to the diner fire, though. Maggie can’t help but think of the past as she focuses on the loss that she faced. Is there hope for her future, though?
Sullivan’s Crossing airs on Wednesday at 8/7c on The CW.
What to watch: Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage
It’s difficult to choose between everything airing on Thursday night because it’s a night packed with finales. You’ll need to tune into Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, which is going to take up the entire hour to say goodbye to the season — just the season!
In the first of two episodes, Jim considers selling the tire store, which understandably leads to Georgie panicking. Jim has offered him his first job and allowed him a chance to support his family at a young age. Meanwhile, Mandy has to deal with an old deception. Is this the beginning of the end of their first marriage?
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage airs Thursday starting at 8/7c on CBS.
What to watch: Found
Another season finale happening is Found. While the series has been canceled, it is potentially being shopped around. Watch it to prove that NBC made a mistake with this show. Plus, just watch it so that it goes out with a bang if this really has to be the last episode.
Lena has Jamie, and the M\&A Team will need to do everything they can to get him back. Gabi has to put her life and her freedom on the line for both Jamie and to gain redemption, while Dhan has to handle a figure from his past that threatens his recovery.
Found airs on Thursday at 10/9c on NBC.
What to skip: Grey’s Anatomy
Yes, this show is also airing its season finale, but it’s on the “skip” list because it’s already been renewed. It’s one that you can get away with watching the following day on Hulu.
What to watch: SWAT
It’s the end of the road for SWAT. The two-hour series finale will air tonight, and you will not want to miss a beat of the episode. The question is whether this series will come to a satisfactory end when it wasn’t initially intended to be a series finale.
The first hour starts with someone from Hondo’s past, as he deals with the hijacking of an auto carrier truck. The car thieves are after one thing only: a \$60 million car. Then in the second hour, it’s all about Russian mercenaries who want to release their leader. The best way to do that is to put all of LA under threat.
SWAT airs on Friday starting at 9/8c on CBS.
What to skip: Suits: LA
We turn to Sunday for the final episode of Suits: LA. The series has just been canceled, and it’s not being shopped around, so you don’t need to watch in the hope that it can be saved. However, if you do have the hour available on Sunday and you loved the series, it could be worth it.
The episode should bring the current murder investigation to a close. The question is whether any fences can be mended, or if anyone is going to admit that walking out on the original firm was a bad idea.
Suits: LA airs Sunday at 9/8c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
