Actress Katherine Kelly Lang is celebrating over thirty-eight years as Brooke Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful. As the accomplished actress takes new steps moving forward as a storyteller, she takes a moment to slow down and reflect on her journey thus far.
Lang spoke with Italian magazine Novella 2000 about her time on the popular soap opera. Reflecting upon how she secured the part of Brooke Logan and her first days on set Lang said, “Stepping onto the set for the first time was like crossing a threshold of destiny. I was young, enthusiastic and ready to dive. The energy was electric, the cast welcoming. From day one I understood that it was not just a job, it was the beginning of an incredible journey with a great family.”
Lang went on to describe how different and similar she is to her counterpart, “Brooke and I have been on a long journey together, but we remain two very different people. She is a whirlwind of passion and drama, often driven by instinct and heart, even when it leads her into chaos. I am more thoughtful, more grounded. Yet, through her, I have explored parts of myself that I might never have discovered. Playing Brooke has been both a challenge and a gift.”
Lang took to Instagram to announce her upcoming film, Beyond the Lens: Katherine Kelly Lang, which is described as a short fashion film.
Posting a short announcement teaser trailer, Lang narrates the project stating, “When you are in front of the camera, you are not just a body, you are energy, you are your story.”
Lang commented on her post, “Kicking off a new Instagram series. This one’s personal—fashion, film, and a window into my world. Tell me what speaks to you!”
The film is directed by Matteo Poddie, executive produced by Alessio Filippelli, with photography by Raffaele Cerracchio, makeup by Federica Pazzaglia, and set design by Jeremy Snider.
This year promises to be a busy one for Lang on the show. Currently Brooke’s rival Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) recently returned to town. Now she’s back in her on-again-off-again love interest Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) life. The question is will this be a reunion for the former lovers? Or is Brooke and Ridge’s relationship strong enough to navigate the storm? Meanwhile, actor Jack Wagner will be reprising his role as Brooke Logan’s ex-husband Nick Marone for a story arc beginning this June.
