Crew to hit Main Street on Friday
There will be no road closures during the one-day filming, though residents can expect a number of ‘three-minute traffic stoppages’ in the downtown Main Street area between Martin and Brown. There will be no stoppages between 7 and 9 a.m. and 4 and 6 p.m.
Filming will be done at three specific locations — Knox Presbyterian Church and two private residences — and all area businesses and tenants have been informed of the filming. Production vehicles will be using Municipal Lot 9 and 5 for parking and will move in late tomorrow night (Thursday).
While it is not known what actors may be in town, Sheriff Country – tentatively scheduled to start airing Sept. 1 – stars Morena Baccarin of the Deadpool movies as the central character.
Following the investigations and personal drama of a small-town sheriff, the series also includes Christopher Gorham (Ugly Betty) and Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights).
This marks the third time in just under a year that the town’s downtown core has been the backdrop of filming.
Re-shoots were done on Main Street last spring for M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller Trap, while on the heels of that Victoria Park was used for scenes for season two of The Accused.
