“‘90 Day Fiancé’ Star Ben Rathbun Dies at 55 After Battle with Stomach Cancer”

Ben Rathbun, who appeared on the TLC reality series 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, died Monday at 55.

His ex-wife, Lisa Perry Rathbun, announced the news on Facebook, writing, “I regretfully have to share that Ben Rathbun, my former husband and father to our four amazing children, passed away Monday, May 19, of cancer at his parents’ home in Indiana.”

She added, “Please remember us in your prayers,” and concluded her post with a quote from a Bible verse. Her message also included a sweet photo of Rathbun smiling next to their children.

According to TMZ, Rathbun had stage 4 stomach cancer, which he was diagnosed with at the end of last year. The outlet said he was surrounded by family, including wife Mahogany Roca, in his final moments.

Rathbun and Roca starred together in season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, from December 2021 to April 2022. The reality series is a prequel to TLC’s hit 90 Day Fiancé, which follows couples who unite in the U.S. under a special visa. Before the 90 Days tells of how these couples first got to know each other. Rathbun and Roca revealed that they’d tied the knot during an episode of 90 Day Diaries in February 2024.

In a heartfelt Instagram post Tuesday, which featured several photos of Roca and her husband, she opened up about his death. “I love you more than anyone, I love you forever and ever and ever,” she wrote. “I’m crying writing this but I still don’t know how tell internet about his privacy life and my privacy life.”

She added, “Guys he was a saint, he was a real Christian before he pass, he made peace will life and Gos and everyone, he was a peace maker, a child of God, he love life, he love love life, an angel in real person, in not lying.”
