From Chicago Fire to The Voice: Every NBC Fall 2025 Show We Can’t Wait to Watch

The Spring 2025 network TV season has come to an end, and already, the wait for the next one feels too long. Following NBC’s latest TV season, a number of the network’s shows have been cancelled, including Lopez vs. Lopez, Night Court, The Irrational, Suits LA, and Found. The cancellation of Found is especially disappointing, after a wild and shocking second season.

NBC’s fall line-up is less busy than usual, but it will see the return of a number of beloved series, from the One Chicago shows, to NBC’s other drama shows, to its sitcoms. After a season full of introductions to new shows and characters, and some big life moments, including weddings and deaths for returning characters, it will be a tough wait over the course of the hiatus to see them again. This is NBC’s complete Fall 2025 schedule.

10. ‘The Voice’ Season 28
Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00 P.M. EST (until November)

The Voice’s twenty-seventh season has officially concluded, with Adam David from Team Michael (Michael Bublé) winning the competition. The show will be back for Season 28 this coming fall, and will air from September to November, before being replaced by scripted programming. For those who haven’t seen The Voice, the singing competition starts with Blind Auditions, where the judges can’t see who is singing.

Bublé will be the only Season 27 judge returning this fall. The other three judges are all returning after having previously judged on The Voice: Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg. Like always, the season will start with the judges choosing members for their teams, before then showing them competing with each other as their team members perform in weekly singing challenges.

9. ‘St. Denis Medical’ Season 2
Mondays at 8:00 P.M. (starting November)

After a hilarious and heartfelt first season, NBC’s newest medical sitcom, St. Denis Medical, will be back for another season this fall. The series follows the doctors, nurses, and administrative staff working in the emergency department of St. Denis Medical Center in Oregon. Over the course of the season, the staff of St. Denis deals with wildly funny and strange mishaps from patients, while occasionally clashing with each other.

The first season of St. Denis Medical ended with a big storm that led to some important decisions and surprising revelations. It will be an especially long wait for the next season, which will likely build on the twists from the Season 1 finale, while also sticking to the usual silly structure. St. Denis Medical will be returning late into NBC’s fall season, after the upcoming season of The Voice ends in November.

8. ‘Brilliant Minds’ Season 2
Mondays at 10:00 P.M. EST

Brilliant Minds is NBC’s newest medical drama, and it will be returning for a second season this fall. It follows Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto), a neurologist who has a unique insight into his patients, and a determination to do right by them. Wolf has prosopagnosia, a condition that makes him unable to recognize faces. Both Brilliant Minds and the character of Dr. Wolf are inspired by Dr. Oliver Sacks’ two nonfiction medical books.

After a strong first season, the Season 1 finale of Brilliant Minds ended with a shocking reveal and wild cliffhanger that has changed the entire ballgame for the show going forward. It’s already been almost six months since the season ended, but fans will have to wait a little while longer before getting some answers (that will likely lead to even more questions) this coming September.

7. ‘Chicago Med’ Season 11
Wednesdays at 8:00 P.M. EST

All three of NBC’s Chicago universe procedurals will be returning this coming fall in a Wednesday night block. One Chicago’s medical drama, Chicago Med, follows the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. Each week, they tend to patients’ unique medical ailments and try to help them, while also dealing with their own personal lives and relationships with each other.

Season 10 of Chicago Med ended with a shocking finale that continued the storyline in which it was revealed that Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) was pregnant. The father of her baby is still a mystery, although the season ended with a cliffhanger that implied that it is none other than Dean Archer (Steven Weber). This is just one of many questions that will be answered when the series returns.

6. ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 14
Wednesdays at 9:00 P.M. EST

Following Chicago Med in NBC’s Wednesday night line-up this fall is Chicago Fire, which will be returning for its fourteenth season. The series follows a group of firefighters and paramedics from Firehouse 51 in Chicago, as they tend to calls and save lives. The Season 13 finale ended with a number of major twists, like the exciting reveal that Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) will be having a baby.

Season 14 of Chicago Fire will continue with many of the storylines that were left open at the end of this season, although it will see the departure of two main characters: Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) and Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri). Carver’s exit is clear after the reveal of the job in Denver, but Chicago Fire has not yet given any indication as to how Ritter will leave.

5. ‘Chicago P.D.’ Season 13
Wednesdays at 10:00 P.M. EST

The last in NBC’s Wednesday night One Chicago line-up is Chicago P.D., which will be returning this fall for its thirteenth season. The series follows a group of officers and detectives who work for the Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence Unit to solve major crimes. The Season 12 finale ended with multiple major twists, as well as the long-anticipated wedding of Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger).

The season finale also pushed Voight (Jason Beghe) to a new low with his involvement in Reid’s (The Pitt’s Shawn Hatosy) death, which already has repercussions and will definitely play a major role in the upcoming season. The wait over the next four months to see how this storyline plays out will be tough, and it will not be resolved any time soon, even after the show returns.

4. ‘Law & Order’ Season 25
Thursdays at 8:00 P.M. EST

Law & Order will be back for what will be its twenty-fifth season this coming fall, as the first of NBC’s Thursday night procedural line-up. The series focuses on the detectives who solve major crimes, as well as the lawyers who deal with the aftermath later in each episode. Season 24 ended with an intense finale, complete with a shocking verdict and murder that followed, as well as a huge cliffhanger.

Season 25 will pick up where the previous season left off, and will be airing in September along with the rest of NBC’s returning drama shows. That last cliffhanger could be interpreted in a number of ways, so depending on what it means, there could be some explosive fallout to come in Season 25, particularly for A.D.A. Samantha Maroun (Odelya Halevi).

3. ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Season 27
Thursdays at 9:00 P.M. EST

Law & Order: SVU will be back this fall as NBC’s second show in the Thursday night line-up, right after its parent series. The series follows Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) as she solves cases for the NYPD’s Special Victims Unit. The show’s twenty-sixth season ended with an intense and suspenseful finale that ultimately wrapped up with a satisfying conclusion.

Season 26 of Law & Order: SVU will continue with the show’s tried and true structure, and will definitely introduce more new storylines, particularly because Season 25 did not end with any major cliffhangers or loose ends. The biggest shake-up for the upcoming season is that Detectives Velasco (Octavio Pisano) and Silva (Juliana Martinez) will not be returning, although only Velasco’s exit has been shown so far. Additionally, Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) will be returning.

2. ‘The Hunting Party’ Season 2
Thursdays at 10:00 P.M. EST

NBC’s newest crime procedural, The Hunting Party, will be back this fall for a second season. The series starts when a secret underground prison in Wyoming explodes, letting loose a number of dangerous killers. Profiler Bex Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) then returns to the FBI to help track down these killers, especially when many of them start killing again in bolder and more violent ways.

The Hunting Party will be airing as the final drama in NBC’s Thursday night rotation, after the two Law & Order series. Season 1 ended with a wild cliffhanger that now has Oliver’s (Nick Wechsler) life hanging in the balance. Season 2 will answer the question of his fate, and will pick off where the rest of the show’s first installment left off, as the FBI continues to try to catch as many escaped killers as possible.

1. ‘Happy’s Place’ Season 2
Fridays at 8:00 P.M. (starting November)

Happy’s Place is one of two NBC sitcoms that will be returning for a second season in November. The show follows Bobbie McAllister (Reba McEntire), a woman who inherits her father’s bar in Knoxville, Tennessee after he dies. The twist is that Bobbie now co-owns the bar with Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), the half-sister she never knew existed.

In spite of a rough start, Bobbie and Isabella end up running Happy’s Place together, although they still clash from time to time. The show will be returning late in the Fall 2025 season as NBC’s only scripted Friday night show, but hopefully its time slot won’t deter viewers from catching the fun and heartfelt workplace comedy’s second installment.
