
As reported by Variety, the mash-up of The Night Before Christmas and Alice in Wonderland has an extremely star-studded cast, including Clarke as the voice of The Queen of Hearts, Gerard Butler as St. Nick/Santa Claus, and Simone Ashley of Bridgerton fame as Alice in Wonderland.
What is the Plot of The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland?
The musical movie is based on Carys Bexington’s bestselling book of the same name, which mashes up Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland with the classic Clement Clarke Moore poem, “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.” The book was illustrated by Kate Hindley.
Director Peter Baynton, who helmed the Oscar and BAFTA award-winning animated short, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. It is his feature length debut. The story was adapted for the screen by Sara Daddy, who wrote the entire script in rhyming couplets. The film also features original music and songs from Robbie Williams’ collaborator Guy Chambers, as well as Amy Wadge, a Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter who co-wrote the Ed Sheeran hit, “Thinking Out Loud.”
The movie was produced by Universal Pictures Content Group and Lupus Films and is set to debut on Prime Video and Hulu in the United States on November 15, and in the United Kingdom on Sky Cinema on December 13. Sky Original Film is the distributor for the feature in the UK, Universal in the US.

Ruth Fielding and Camilla Deakin produced the film for Lupus Films. Universal Pictures Content Group EVP Helen Parker executive produced alongside Gerard Butler and Alan Siegel for G-BASE Productions. Emilia Clarke also executive produced the film for Magical Thinking Pictures.
