ABC 2025-2026: What’s Renewed, What’s Canceled, and What’s Brand New

Is your favorite ABC show returning this fall?

ABC has renewed several of its popular shows for the 2025-2026 season, but one program won’t be returning. “The Conners,” which is a continuation of the beloved series “Roseanne,” came to an end in April after seven seasons.

The show was given a proper sendoff, with a six-episode farewell to the titular family.

“All things do have to come to an end, and this was the right time. ABC granting us those six episodes gave it a real miniseries type of ending,” executive producer Bruce Helford told Deadline in April. “We had a cohesive line. It wasn’t just a bunch of episodes and then all of a sudden, an ending.”

While “The Conners” is the only confirmed cancellation for ABC’s 2025-2026 season, several other shows have uncertain futures. “Doctor Odyssey,” “The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette,” “Claim to Fame,” and “The $100,000 Pyramid” have not yet been renewed.

Which ABC shows are renewed for 2025-2026?

Plenty of ABC programs have been greenlit for another season.

“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Shark Thank,” “High Potential,” “Shifting Gears, “Dancing With the Stars,” Abbott Elementary,” “The Golden Bachelor,” and “9-1-1″ are all set to return this fall. Season 10 of “Bachelor in Paradise” is set to premiere this summer after a one-year hiatus.

“Will Trent,” “The Rookie,” and “American Idol” will all premiere during the midseason.

Are any new shows coming to ABC in fall 2025?

Thus far, ABC has announced one new show: the “9-1-1” spinoff “9-1-1: Nashville.”

The series will star Chris O’Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe and Jessica Capshaw as his wife. According to TVInsider, Don’s character is “a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville’s busiest firehouse with his beloved son.”

“9-1-1: Nashville” is written by “9-1-1” cocreators Ryan Murphy and Tim Minear and “9-1-1: Lone Star” showrunnner Rashad Raisani. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
