Erika Christensen, who plays Angie Polaski on Will Trent, has shared the advice she’d give her character and former love interest Will Trent if they were friends. Angie and Will have a complicated on-again, off-again relationship; they keep getting back together due to their shared past as adopted children. The pair have been romantically linked before, but it now looks like they’ll never get back together. Angie has a boyfriend, Dr. Seth McDale, while Will has a potential romance with Marion Alba.
While speaking with ScreenRant’s Rachel Foertsch, Christensen discussed whether she thinks Angie and Will should get back together or remain friends. She said that if she were friends with the pair, she’d advise them to keep their relationship platonic; However, since they’re filming a TV show, Christensen has hinted that maybe rekindling their romance could add some drama to the show. However, with Angie currently pregnant, their romance may not be there anymore.
ScreenRant: Do you think there’s still hope for Angie to rekindle her feelings for Will, or do you prefer their friendship?
Erika Christensen: I feel like, as a TV show, I don’t know. If they were real people, I’d be really happy for Will and Angie to have a healthy friendship. I think that’s great, and if they were my friends, I’d be like, “This is great. This is where you need to be. It seems like things were pretty chaotic when you two were together, so enjoy this.” But for the show… I don’t know. Drama is great for the show.
How Angie and Will’s Friendship Will Affect Will Trent Season 4
Although Angie and Will are no longer romantically involved, their friendship still provides both of them with a lot of support. Now that Angie is pregnant with Seth’s child, friendship may be the best thing for these exes. Despite not being romantically involved, Angie and Will share a love for each other that will never go away, and may even be for Angie while she’s pregnant.
Will Trent Season 4 will likely explore Angie and Will navigating this new phase in their relationship. Although Christensen, who plays Angie, wants to rekindle the romance, Angie and Will are still better off as friends than partners. Angie and Will are compelling characters on the show, regardless of their relationship status.
Our Take on Angie and Will’s Complicated Relationship
Angie and Will make a great team. Despite their complicated relationship, they made things work as co-workers, even when Will picked on Angie at the end of Will Trent season 2. They were able to work through their past as a couple and came out stronger than ever as friends and co-workers in Will Trent season 3. Hopefully, Angie and Will’s relationship won’t be so complicated when Will Trent season 4 premieres.
