Pretty Little Liars Might Bring Back Yet Another Supervillain
Pretty Little Liars has a history of bringing characters back after long absences, because as longtime viewers know, literally anything can happen in Rosewood. In the first half of season seven, Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and Noel (Brant Daugherty) came back to cause trouble, which, fun reminder, ended with Noel getting beheaded. So far the PLL writers have limited returning characters to the living, but according to Vanessa Ray, who plays the very deceased Charlotte DiLaurentis, that might change when the show returns in 2017.
“I have been keeping up with the show, and you might see my face soon,” she told Us Weekly. “I love getting to be around that crew and the lovely cast.” After being unmasked as A in season six, Charlotte was murdered by a still-unknown person. The new A thinks that person is one of the Liars and has been terrorizing them ever since. So if Charlotte really does come back to Rosewood, she’ll either have to do it via flashback or as a zombie, which honestly would not be the craziest thing that has ever happened on PLL. Alternatively, there could be a twist where she never died at all, but let’s not even go there because my brain can’t take it.
Vanessa also told Us her own theories about who Uber A is, and sadly she went with “Aria” instead of “a zombie version of myself.” “I think like early in the early days, she just kind of had the most to lose,” Vanessa said. “She was hurt the most by the antics that ’A’ put her through, so that’s why I think she might be the one that’s coming back to get them all.” This theory might also explain why Aria wears such insane outfits all the time — she’s so set on vengeance that she doesn’t have time to match her clothes properly.
