After Will and Angie’s dramatic breakup on Will Trent, the two pursued other relationships in season 3, but the show’s most interesting romance didn’t involve any of the characters. Will and Angie broke up after he arrested her at the end of Will Trent season 2.
Now, Will is happily in a relationship with ADA Marion Alba, and Angie is dating Dr. Seth McDale. Both romances have potential (as of season 3, episode 10), but “Regarding the Death of Whitney McAdams” introduces the show’s best Will and Angie replacement to date.
In Will Trent season 3, episode 10, Will and Faith investigate the murder of a teenage girl, Whitney McAdams. Since she has a lot of enemies, the GBI agents have a bit of a hard time narrowing down their list of suspects.
However, while doing so, they meet a man named Elijah, who watches the ABC police procedural series after the episode due to his relationship with one of Will Trent’s main characters.
Faith starts dating someone new in Will Trent Season 3, Episode 10
Elijah Buckley is the Belle Rose League choreographer that Whitney has a crush on in Will Trent Season 3, Episode 10. Will and Faith accidentally read Whitney’s text message asking Elijah to come over, automatically making him a suspect.
However, Elijah, who is significantly older than Whitney, explains that he always turns down the teenage girl’s advances because they are inappropriate. His alibi also checks out, clearing him from the suspect list. However, Faith still needs to ask him some follow-up questions, which leads to sparks flying between her and Elijah.
Faith and Elijah dance while the GBI agent questions the dancer about Whitney, and he asks her about her history with Belle Rose. The chemistry between the two characters on Will Trent Season 3 was evident from the start.
Elijah asks her out on a second date (the first was a studio dance) and Faith says yes. At the end of the hour, Faith and Elijah are back on the dance floor at Belle Rose’s prom. She explains that she doesn’t have much fun and needs more in her life — Elijah shows up.
Why Faith and Elijah Have More Romantic Potential Than Anyone Else on Will Trent Will and Angie haven’t interacted much in Will Trent Season 3, especially after she “freed” Will. Plus, as mentioned above, they’re both seeing new people.
So it seems like the ABC show’s writers aren’t actively trying to reunite the former couple anytime soon, which means they need a Will and Angie replacement. While Will and Marion in Will Trent season 3 get an asterisk because they’re both coming out of long-term relationships and Angie and Seth aren’t exactly off to the best start, Faith and Elijah currently have the most romance on the show.
Faith’s new relationship is exciting because she, more than most, needs something good in her life.
Faith and Elijah’s romance definitely has the most potential simply because they have great chemistry and aren’t held back by complicated history. It also doesn’t hurt that they have the most meet-cute. Ultimately, though, Faith’s new relationship is exciting because she, more than most, needs something good in her life. Hopefully Elijah will be that for her in Will Trent season 3.
