Fire Country Season 4 Confirmed: CBS Locks Fall 2025 Return Amid Cast Departures and Story Turmoil

CBS Officially Announces: Fire Country Will Return Fall 2025

In early May 2025, CBS officially confirmed that Fire Country would return for Season 4 in its familiar Friday night time slot. The new season is expected to premiere sometime in late September or early October, following the success of Season 3, especially the tense final two episodes, which aired on April 25.

With the close involvement of series star and co-creator Max Thieriot, the series continues to receive strong support from audiences and holds the top spot in CBS’s Friday night drama ratings.

Season 3: The Ending That Left the Town Stunned

Fire Country Season 3 ended in a life-or-death situation when Vince Leone, his wife Sharon, and Bode’s grandfather Walter were buried under the rubble of a collapsed structure during a wildfire rescue. The final scene left millions of viewers holding their breath: Vince lay motionless, not knowing if he was alive or dead.

CBS has yet to officially announce who survived, but insiders say at least one major character will be gone. The biggest speculation is about Vince, especially after news broke that Billy Burke will not return as a regular in Season 4.

Station 42’s Internal Rift After a Major Loss

If Vince is truly dead, the Station 42 fire station will enter an unprecedented crisis. He was not only the veteran captain, but also the spiritual “backbone” of the entire team. The biggest question is: Who will replace him?

Sharon Leone is likely to take over as leader temporarily, but she is also in a state of trauma over the loss of her husband. This will strain her relationship with her son Bode, and could cause internal conflict between members like Jake, Manny, and Eve.

Gabriela Is Gone Too: Another Big Breakup

CBS also confirmed that Stephanie Arcila (Gabriela Perez) will be leaving the main cast for next season. Losing Gabriela means Bode will lose his love and greatest ally, creating a huge emotional hole in his recovery journey.

Season 4 Will Focus on the Aftermath of Death and Leadership Upheaval

The show’s writers say next season will be darker and more psychological. Beyond the physical fires, the story will delve into pain, loss, responsibility, and broken trust.
