Creating a new show centered around the couple was doubtlessly no small feat, and yet Taylor Sheridan’s production team accomplished it in just a year.

Since only a year has passed, Beth and Rip can essentially pick up where their stories left off in Yellowstone. It’s promising news for the characters, especially Carter (Finn Little), who’s a young adult when he moves to Beth and Rip’s new ranch in Dillon. If production had stalled, Little could have gotten too old to play the role Sheridan intended for Carter, with Carter’s growth spurt changing his Yellowstone story again. Conversely, Beth and Rip’s story will seamlessly continue.
