Chicago Fire, which premiered in 2012, follows the firefighters of Firehouse 51, a group of people who are more like family than co-workers. They’re led by Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney).
The Dick Wolf-produced series will always give you the drama, chaos and action you need. But behind the scenes, the stars live normal lives just like us and have their own real-life relationships. Get to know who your favorite Chicago Fire stars are dating and married to!
Taylor Kinney and Ashley Cruger
Chicago Fire’s Taylor Kinney, who portrays Kelly Severide, found his love just a few years ago. Kinney began dating model Ashley Cruger in early 2022, with confirmation of their romance being shared to his Instagram in March. Their first public appearance occurred a month later when they participated in a charity event together. Cruger even made a brief cameo in Chicago Fire during season 11 in 2022 as an extra.
The two haven’t publicly discussed their relationship, but they keep everyone informed through shared photos. Kinney and Cruger officially walked down the aisle on April 30, 2024, in a small, private ceremony.
Joe Minoso and Caitlin Murphy Miles
Joe Minoso, who is best known for his role as Joe Cruz, met his now-wife Caitlin Murphy Miles on the set of Chicago Fire. The couple first crossed paths in 2013 while Miles was working as a makeup artist on the series. They began a relationship that year and the rest is history! Actually, its present as Minoso and Miles announced their engagement in December 2015 and married in October 2016.
David Eigenberg and Chrysti Eigenberg
David Eigenberg, who famously plays Christopher Herrmann, has been married to his sweetheart for nearly 23 years. Eigenberg met his now-wife, ex-army specialist Chrysti, in 2002.
“We met right after 9/11,” Eigenberg shared. “She’d been activated from [Army] reserve duty and was doing homeland security down in Virginia… I met her [and] it just hit me. That had never happened to me before. It just hit me at the core. Meeting my wife was something that I never anticipated.”
The couple quickly tied the knot that same year, but didn’t welcome kids for another seven years. Their first child, son Louie, was born in 2009, while their daughter Myrna was born in 2014.
Eamonn Walker and Sandra Walker
Chicago Fire’s Eamonn Walker, who portrays Wallace Boden, has been married for years. The actor and his family lead a very private life, so it’s unknown when Walker and his wife, Sandra, actually got married. The couple does, however, have three children: twins Jahdine and Deke Roderique-Walker and a younger son, Kane. It’s unknown how old his children are, but the actor reported also has grandchildren.
Jesse Spencer and Kali Woodruff Carr
Jesse Spencer, who stars as Matthew Casey, had a sweet meeting with his now-wife, Kali Woodruff Carr. The couple met in 2014 at a Chicago music festival. Unlike her actor husband Spencer, Woodruff Carr is a neuroscientist.
In 2019, the couple got engaged and later exchanged vows on June 27, 2020. Two years later, Spencer and Woodruff Carr welcomed their first child in April 2022.
