Ex–Days of Our Lives Star Alison Sweeney Reveals Why She Ditched Hollywood for Good

Former Days of Our Lives star Alison Sweeney has confessed she harbors no second thoughts about leaving Hollywood behind.

The soap opera actress moved her family from California to Arizona several years ago and hasn’t experienced any regrets since.

In a recent interview, the celebrity discussed why she now places her health and well-being ahead of the entertainment industry lifestyle.

During an exclusive conversation with Fox News Digital, she confessed, “I mean, no [I don’t miss Hollywood], I miss my family. I love my family. I go to visit them all the time, but they’re not really in Hollywood or whatever. So, no, I am thrilled with my life. I love how normal it is.”

Alison, 48, entered the entertainment world at just four years old after landing a role in a Kodak commercial.

After her early success as a young performer, she secured numerous movie and television opportunities, including her memorable stint on the enduring soap opera hit.

In 2019, the Biggest Loser host acknowledged “that there’s always someone out there who is prettier and skinnier and fancier.”

She also revealed that she had struggled to “find that confidence” within herself to stay focused and determined.

She shared, “I was really lucky. I’m from LA, so it wasn’t a big fish-out-of-water story, and my parents are super grounded and normal and real and tough and strict. I was never left out on my own to figure that out. I was always really guided by my brothers and my parents, who were all very loving.”

Now, she’s committed to maintaining a balanced lifestyle while prioritizing her health. She expressed, “I am a busy mom and I work all the time, and you really don’t have a lot of time for your gut health to not be aligned.”
