
Amy Sedaris, Peli Motto in Star Wars: The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, is joining Andy Richter (Late Night with Conan O’Brien) and Lindsay Mendez (American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez) as guest stars in the premiere episode of the third season of Elsbeth.
Based on the character featured in The Good Wife and The Good Fight, Elsbeth Tascioni (Carrie Preston) is the astute but unconventional consent decree attorney working with the NYPD to catch New York’s well-heeled murderers, utilizing her unique point of view.
Sedaris will play Laurel Hammond-Muntz, the headstrong and devoted head writer and executive producer of the popular late-night talk show Way Late.
Richter as Mickey Muntz, the hilarious but long-suffering sidekick to Scotty Bristol (Stephen Colbert), the host of Way Late. He’s also Laurel’s husband.
Mendez as Officer Grace Hackett, a hard-working officer and an aspiring stand-up comic when off the clock. When she teams up with Elsbeth for a case focused on the world of comedy, her knowledge of the business comes in handy.
Elsbeth is produced by CBS Studios and executive produced by Robert King, Michelle King, Jonathan Tolins, Liz Glotzer, Erica Shelton Kodish, Bryan Goluboff and Gail Barringer with Tolins serving as showrunner. Robert and Michelle King co-created the series.
