Julia Fox Set to Steal the Scene in ‘Elsbeth’ as Staten Island’s Most Stylish Widow

Julia Fox is the latest guest star to join CBS’ police procedural “Elsbeth.” She will play a New York City “grief influencer” in the third season of the dramedy, a spinoff of “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight.”

Fox will play Raquel Drabowski, described by CBS as a “Staten Island widow who transformed herself into an upscale NYC ‘Grief Influencer’ and reality star on the hit dating series ‘Black Veil.’”

“Elsbeth” Season 3 premieres on Oct. 12. The show stars Carrie Preston as the de facto detective Elsbeth Tascioni. The majority of the show functions as a “howcatchem” mystery, rather than a “whodunit,” meaning the audience is usually privy to who the murderer is at the beginning of each episode. The series premiered in February 2024 and kicked off its second season just months after the first season finished airing.

Fox joins a long list of “Elsbeth” guest star alumni, including Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Jane Krakowski, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Mary-Louise Parker, David Alan Grier, Alan Ruck and Tracy Ullman, among many others. It was recently announced that Stephen Colbert will play a late-night host in Season 3.

Fox, a longtime model and fashion personality, broke into Hollywood with her role in the Safdie brothers’ “Uncut Gems,” in which she acted opposite Adam Sandler. She went on to star in “No Sudden Move,” “Presence,” “Idiotka” and “Fior Di Latte,” and she had a memorable guest spot in the recent Hulu sitcom “Adults.” Next up, she is the female lead opposite Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers in Universal’s football thriller “Him.”

Fox is repped by Framework Entertainment, WME, The Initiative Group and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham.
