Ahead of Elsbeth’s exciting fall return, the 92% RT drama has made a few additions to its third season in the form of a star-studded list of guest stars, most of whom fans have already learned about. Recently, another name —a surprising one at that — has been added to the bunch right on the heels of prolific TV host Stephen Colbert getting tapped to portray a fictional late-night host. Meanwhile, Season 3 of the hit CBS show premieres in October, almost six months after its Season 2 finale, and there’s quite a lot to learn before its arrival.
Julia Fox is the latest guest star to join Elsbeth, as announced in a new report. She will play a New York City “grief influencer”, Raquel Drabowski, in the third season of the dramedy. As teased by her character’s description via CBS, Raquel is a “Staten Island widow who transformed herself into an upscale NYC Grief Influencer and reality star on the hit dating series Black Veil.” Fox joins a long list of Elsbeth guest star alumni, including Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Jane Krakowski, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Mary-Louise Parker, David Alan Grier, Alan Ruck, and Tracey Ullman, among many others.
As a longtime model and fashion personality, Fox broke into Hollywood with her role in the Safdie brothers’ 2019 pic Uncut Gems, in which she acted opposite Adam Sandler as his mistress. She went on to star in No Sudden Move, Presence, Idiotka, and Fior Di Latte. The multi-talented performer also had a memorable guest spot in the recent Hulu sitcom Adults, and she’ll next be seen as the female lead opposite Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers in Universal’s football thriller Him.
‘Elsbeth’ Season 3 Guest Star List Is Fully Loaded!
The third season of The Good Wife and The Good Fight spinoff premieres on October 12, at 9:30/8:30c, on CBS with two episodes airing in one week. It will air after the Matlock Season 2 premiere at 8:30/7:30c, while its second episode comes out on Thursday, October 16, at 10/9c, after which new episodes are broadcast on Thursdays at 10/9c.
Carrie Preston and Wendell Pierce will return as series regulars in Elsbeth Season 3. However, former regular Carra Patterson, who has played Kaya Blanke since Season 1, will now be a recurring guest star, as revealed after the penultimate episode of Season 2. Speaking of guest stars, Fox and Colbert join David Cross, whose casting was announced on August 13. Amy Sedaris, Andy Richter, and Lindsay Mendez will also guest star in the first episode of Elsbeth Season 3.
