Christian LeBlanc Shares Powerful Health Update After Life-Threatening Cancer Fight

‘The Young and the Restless’ star nearly died after his initial cancer diagnosis.

The Young and the Restless star Christian LeBlanc has played the character of Michael Baldwin on and off for over 30 years. In a new interview, he shared an update on the cancer diagnosis he received several years ago.

Luckily, LeBlanc’s update was a good one. However, the Y&R actor revealed that at the time of his diagnosis, it didn’t seem that would be the case.

In a chat with CBS New York, LeBlanc revealed he “almost died” during his battle with multiple myeloma.

According to the Mayo Clinic, multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that forms in plasma cells and builds up in bone marrow. This type of cancer can cause bone and kidney problems, as well as anemia and infections.

“I’d never spent the night in the hospital before that, and I’m 67… If it weren’t for the show, I would never have been diagnosed, because I started having nosebleeds on the show.”

LeBlanc had surgery shortly after his diagnosis and has been in remission for two years.
