Ahead of ‘Chicago P.D.’s Season 13 premiere, fans can’t stop talking about Dante Torres’ changed appearance.
One member of Chicago PD’s Intelligence Unit is going to be showing off a brand new look when the series returns for Season 13.
Marina Squerciati, who portrays Kim Burgess on the police procedural, shared a behind-the-scenes look on set, but Benjamin Levy Aguilar’s appearance was all anyone could focus on or talk about.
In the shot, Squerciati sat between her co-stars LaRoyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater) and Aguilar (Dante Torres), as they seemingly took a break on a concrete stoop, clad in their police vests.
The trio smiled brightly at the camera, as she captioned the post, “My buddies and me,” adding in the #WolfPack hashtag.
Aguilar, who first appeared in the NBC drama at the end of Season 9, has always kept a clean-shaven appearance, with little or no facial hair and a shaved head look.
That look is gone, however, as Aguilar traded it in for a grown-in, jet-black hairstyle, along with dark facial hair.
“Torres new look,” one fan immediately clocked, while the transformation left another asking, “Who’s the new guy?🤷🏽♀️”
When someone informed the fan that it was just Dante Torres, they replied, “omg he looks so different 👀.”
“different but still handsome an attractive in my eyes🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍” someone else added, with one exclaiming, “Whoa! Finally a new photo! BL grew some hair! It looks nice! 👍”
“Torres looks much better with hair..” someone else mused, while another noted, “Ur buddies look good ❤️❤️”
The love continued to pour in with comments like “Love him with the long hair!!!” and “Love the beard Torres..”
Hawkins wasn’t excluded as many complimented his shoes, writing, “Alright now. I see the shoes Atwater!” and “Atwater always got him some nice Retro J’s on 🙌.”
In a photo shared three weeks ago by Squerciati, Torres was already sporting the longer ‘do, leading one fan to exclaim: “Seeing Torres with hair threw me off!”
Plenty of others seemed to pick up on the vibe that Aguilar’s new love interest could be the newest member of Intelligence, Arienne Mandi, who joins Chicago P.D. in the role of Chicago P.D. officer Naomi Kerr.
Kerr is a former soldier and military contractor who is said to thrive in dangerous situations. She is described as a fearless outsider who keeps her cards close to the vest.
Mandi joins the cast on the heels of Toya Turner’s departure. After portraying Kiana Cook for one season, the actress confirmed her exit from the series over the summer, stating, “My time on Chicago P.D. has come to a close.”
Chicago P.D. Season 13 will see another familiar face returning—behind the camera. Jesse Lee Soffer, who played Jay Halstead for 10 seasons, was spotted on set, returning as a director for the fourth episode.
NBC fall premiere dates reveal that the One Chicago franchise— Chicago Med Season 11, Chicago Fire Season 14, and Chicago P.D. Season 13—will return on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
