CBS Unveils Fall 2025 Lineup: Fire Country Returns Alongside New Spin-Offs and Dramas

CBS has officially unveiled its highly anticipated fall 2025–2026 primetime schedule, setting the stage for the return of fan-favorite dramas and the debut of several new series. At the center of attention is Fire Country, which will ignite screens once again this October, bringing with it new storylines and a major spin-off.

Fire Country Season 4 Premiere Date

The network confirmed that Fire Country Season 4 will premiere on Friday, October 17, 2025, in a special primetime slot from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Following its premiere, the show will move into its regular 9:00 p.m. Friday slot starting October 24.

This season’s premiere is expected to carry emotional weight, with Stephanie Arcila’s Gabriela making an appearance to close out her storyline after the actress confirmed her departure from the series. With Max Thieriot returning both in front of and behind the camera, the firehouse drama is set to deliver another year of action, heart, and redemption.

New Series Expanding the CBS Universe

CBS is also betting big on expanding its successful franchises. The most notable addition is Sheriff Country, a direct spin-off of Fire Country.

  • Sheriff Country will debut right after the Fire Country premiere, airing at 9:00 p.m. on October 17. Beginning October 24, it will shift to its permanent 8:00 p.m. Friday slot, creating a back-to-back block of fire-and-law drama.

Another headline-grabbing debut is Boston Blue, a new series tied to the legacy of Blue Bloods. The drama will launch at 10:00 p.m. on October 17, completing a Friday night lineup stacked with adrenaline and emotion.

Returning Favorites and Reality Staples

CBS Announces Its Fall 2025-2026 Schedule

Alongside the new titles, CBS is bringing back its reliable pillars. The Amazing Race will kick off the network’s fall slate on Thursday, September 25, while long-running unscripted hits like Survivor will also return in late September and early October. Other scripted standouts such as NCIS, Elsbeth, Ghosts, and Matlock are all set to reclaim their primetime slots in the weeks leading up to mid-October.

A Strategy of Familiarity and Expansion

With this lineup, CBS is doubling down on what works: building out existing universes while still keeping room for fresh stories. Fridays, in particular, stand out as a powerhouse block where Fire Country, Sheriff Country, and Boston Blue will run back-to-back, giving fans of character-driven drama plenty to sink their teeth into.

What It Means for Viewers

For audiences, the fall promises both comfort and novelty. Familiar heroes will return, but new characters and spin-offs ensure there will be no shortage of surprises. In an era when networks are competing harder than ever for viewer attention, CBS is betting that loyalty to established franchises like Fire Country can carry the night—while spin-offs and fresh series bring in new fans.
