Will Trent Season 4 Shocker: This Character’s Story Isn’t Over Yet

Will Trent season 4 won’t be coming back until early 2026, but the brains behind the book series Karin Slaughter shared a hint about the show’s production that makes it clear no stone will be left unturned when the series comes backWill Trent season 3 left things off on shaky ground as an extremist group released a biochemical toxin around Atlanta.

While Will (Ramon Rodriguez) and Angie Polaski (Erika Christensen) were marked safe, others weren’t so lucky. Amanda Wagner (Sonja Sohn) was left with a potentially fatal gunshot wound, Michael Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) was feeling the impact of his brain tumor, and Dr. Seth McDale (Scott Foley) was working on patients who had been exposed to the bio-hazard without realizing the implications.

Elsewhere in the mix, Will’s sassy chihuaha Betty and his foster kid Nico (Cora Lu Tran) were a massive part of the Will Trent season 3 finale, but most roundups haven’t considered either of them in the aftermath of the disaster. While there are more likely subjects that will take up time for Will Trent season 4’s premiere, Slaughter revealed a hint to ease viewers’ stress.

Nico Was A Pivotal Part Of Will Trent Season 3’s Finale

As a major part the story along, Nico had a pivotal role to play in Will Trent season 4’s finale. Although it wasn’t likely that Nico’s fate would be overlooked entirely in Will Trent season 4’s premiere, the majority of the consideration about who will make it through to the next season and who could die in the interim hasn’t featured Nico as an option. Nico, who was openly exposed to the toxin for hours before knowing better, could take a turn.

Though it’s unlikely that Will Trent season 4 will decide to let go of Nico in any capacity, it’s possible that their fate may be uncertain after the show’s upcoming premiere. Regardless, Nico’s fate will be uncovered along with the rest of the Will Trent season 4 cast. With the show picking up where it left off, everyone’s fate will be revealed.
