“The Golden Bachelor” is returning for a second season, and one Louisiana woman is looking for love alongside 22 other women.
In this senior-focused spinoff of ABC’s popular dating series, 23 women will be contending for the affection of this season’s Golden Bachelor.
The leading man of this season is Mel Owens, a 66-year-old former NFL player who is now a lawyer from Orange County, California.
Tracy Thompson from Lafayette, Louisiana to be on season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor”
Tracy Thompson, 62, is an interior designer from Lafayette, currently living in Houston, who will be one of the contestants vying for the heart of Golden Bachelor Mel Owens this season.
“I love to jitterbug, I love to dance,” says Thompson in ABC’s “The Golden Bachelor Season 2- Meet the Women” video.
This show specifically features older contestants who are looking love and, while there isn’t a strict minimum age, the contestants are usually around 60 years of age or older. This season, contestants’ ages range from 58 to 77.
For the duration of the show, participants live together in a California mansion while competing in romantic dates, group activities and weekly rose ceremonies.
When does “The Golden Bachelor” season 2 air?
Season two of “The Golden Bachelor” will premiere on Wed., Sept. 24 from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. Eastern Time on ABC, and will be available on Hulu the following day.
