It’s going to be, quite literally, a dark week in Salem. As a blackout overtakes the town, some residents will take advantage of the situation in various ways. The new Days spoilers tease romance, serious conversations, and definite danger lurking in the shadows.

Darkness Fall Over Salem
This week’s “Days of Our Lives” preview clip begins with Gwen walking through a construction site as the lights flicker and then go out entirely. We then see Sarah and Xander together, looking around, realizing that the lights are out. In the next moments, we see Marlena at her townhouse losing power, as Belle and EJ get stuck in the same elevator together. The conversation that they’ve been avoiding is likely about to happen.
Meanwhile Brady, Philip and Gabi are all in the same place. “Till the power comes back on, looks like we’re all stuck here,” says Gabi. Brady then responds with, ‘We might as well bring her in the loop. The whole world’s going to find out sooner or later.” What is the subject at hand, and will Philip agree to share it with Gabi?
The dark is the perfect catalyst for Chad and Cat to give in to their feelings finally. He also tells her that they will need to find a new meeting place.
Love and Danger in the Dark
Xander and Sarah are together when the power goes out. It doesn’t take them long to be tangled in a kiss. Will this be a fresh start for the duo, who clearly still love each other? Or will their lack of trust continue to come between them?
Someone who is not in a good position when the power goes out is Stephanie. She is in Horton Town Square and it sounds like she may not be as alone in the dark as she thinks.
The lights are also out in the dorms at Salem University. Ari tells Sophia that she can hang out until the lights come back on. Ari doesn’t realize that this situation has created an opportunity for Sophia to take advantage of. “This couldn’t have worked out better if I had planned it myself,” Sophia says to herself. Sophia starts snapping photos of Holly after she falls asleep. What will she do with them?
