To My Amazing Fans,
I’ve always believed that some of life’s biggest joys come in the quietest moments. Today, I wanted to share one of those moments with you — from my heart to yours.
Recently, Ashley and I welcomed a new family member into our home — a beautiful little puppy with eyes full of mischief and a heart full of love. It might seem like a small thing to some, but for us, it feels huge. She’s already brought so much laughter, chaos, and warmth into our lives, and it’s been a reminder of what really matters at the end of the day: love, connection, and finding joy in the simple things.
To be honest, I didn’t expect to feel this emotional about becoming a “dog dad” again. But watching her grow, watching her curl up next to us, and seeing the bond already forming between us — it’s stirred something deep in me. It’s a quiet kind of happiness. The kind that sneaks up on you when you’re not looking.
Many of you have been with me through so many seasons of my life — not just on Chicago Fire, but in the moments in between. You’ve supported me through the highs, the transitions, and even through the times I needed to step back and take care of what matters most. That kind of loyalty isn’t something I take lightly. I’m incredibly grateful.
As I embrace this new chapter, even in its simplest form, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude — for love, for second chances, for family in all its forms (two-legged and four-legged), and for this beautiful life I get to live.
Whether I’m on screen as Kelly Severide or off screen just being Taylor — it means the world to know you’re out there, rooting for me, cheering me on, and growing alongside me. I can’t say what the future holds, but I can say this: I’m here, I’m grateful, and my heart is full.
Thanks for letting me share this little joy with you.
With love and appreciation,
Taylor
