In a heartfelt statement shared with fans and media today, actress Tracy Spiridakos revealed that she is not only deeply in love but also preparing to welcome a new chapter in her life — motherhood.
“I’ve always believed that the most beautiful things in life come when you least expect them,” Spiridakos began. “Over the past year, my life has changed in ways I could have never imagined — in the best possible way. I’ve found a love that’s real, grounding, and full of laughter. And now, that love is growing in the most incredible way.”
While Tracy didn’t name her partner directly, fans have recently speculated about her rumored relationship with fellow Chicago P.D. alum Jesse Lee Soffer after the two were spotted traveling together in Lisbon and sharing cozy, joy-filled moments on social media. Though neither actor has officially confirmed their relationship status, Spiridakos’s latest revelation seems to speak volumes.
“I’m overjoyed to share that we’re expecting a baby — a beautiful, tiny reminder of the love we’ve built together,” she continued. “This journey into motherhood is both exciting and humbling. I feel incredibly grateful for the love and support that surrounds me, from family, friends, and of course, from the fans who have walked alongside me through so many chapters.”
Spiridakos, who portrayed Detective Hailey Upton on Chicago P.D. for seven seasons, officially exited the series in May 2024. Her departure marked the end of an era for fans who had come to love Upton’s strength, vulnerability, and resilience. Now, Tracy is embracing a new role — one that’s off-screen but even more life-changing.
“Leaving Chicago P.D. was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but it was time for something new,” she said. “What I didn’t expect was how quickly something even more meaningful would begin. This next chapter feels so right, and I’m soaking in every moment of it.”
She also shared her hopes for the future: “I don’t know what the road ahead looks like, but I do know I’ll be walking it with so much love — for this little one, for my partner, and for the beautiful life we’re building together.”
In true Tracy fashion, she ended with a touch of humor and heart: “Also, if you’ve seen me crying during commercials lately — yes, that’s pregnancy hormones. Or maybe I’m just really emotional about laundry detergent.”
Fans and fellow cast members have already started flooding her social media with messages of congratulations and excitement. While Tracy is keeping most details private for now, she promises to keep fans updated as her journey continues.
“This is the happiest I’ve ever been,” she said. “And I can’t wait to share this joy — one beautiful day at a time.”
