Days of Our Lives fans have theorized for months that the paternity of Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd)’s baby may not be as straight forward as the show was wanting viewers to believe, and after today’s episode, they may just be right.
On the October 1, 2025 installment of the Peacock streaming soap opera, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) got the DNA test results of Tesoro back. She revealed to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) that the test revealed that Tate Black (Leo Howard) was not his father.
Viewers will remember that Sophia safe-havened her child. Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Javi (Al Calderon) have since been raising the baby they affectionately named Tesoro (Spanish for Treasure), with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) being labeled the child’s official legal guardian. Up to this point Sophia had claimed the Tate was the child’s father. But does the latest development prove this not to be the case?
One fan theory states that the child’s father is actually Tate’s best friend Aaron’s. Back in November Sophia and Aaron both bummed out with the way their lives were going decided to hang out together and watch the premiere of the rebooted Body and Soul together. Shortly thereafter it was revealed that Sophia was pregnant. Fans immediately started to point out that things my not be as straight forward as the show was portraying. “
Back in December one user wrote on X (formerly twitter) “I think Sophia is pregnant but with Aaron’s child. I think they hooked up when they were going back to his place to “watch a movie” and now she’s going to pass the kid off as Tate’s until baby shows up with curly hair and pale skin like Aaron Green. #Days”
Aaron then vanished from the show for some time, before making his triumphant return and with it the fan theories continued, as one user shared, “Oh Aaron is back? Sophia’s real baby daddy. 😈. #Days #dool”
This was only amplified in recent days, as another fan pointed out, “I remember that scene during graduation where Aaron thought that he and Sophia would end up together, bells rang off for me. I mean it’s the only logical reason why Sophia would be doing all of this. Plus I’m not ready for Brady and Theresa to be grandparents yet. #Days”
Now with the latest story development fans are convinced that Aaron is the father, but could this just be a simple case of DNA test tampering? With Salem’s long history of hospital manipulation, viewers will have to stay tuned to see how the story unfolds.
