Days of Our Lives Exit Twist: Holly Jonas Plans a Move to France — But Is Ashley Puzemis Gone for Good? md18

With the character planning to leave for France, could this be the end for the popular star?

Days of Our Lives fans have been watching Holly Jonas’s (Ashley Puzemis) life crumble around her. As Holly announces plans to leave Salem for Paris, many are wondering is this the end for the fan-favorite character.

To say Holly’s life has been complicated recently would be an understatement. Her boyfriend, Tate (Leo Howard), believes he impregnated their friend Sophia (Rachel Boyd). After he gave the baby up for adoption, sight unseen, Tate became obsessed with finding out where his child is, leaving Holly feeling neglected. Little does Tate know, he isn’t the father of Sophia’s baby after all.

Things recently took a turn for the worse for Holly as the teenager turned to alcohol to cope. Her negligence ultimately resulted in a fire that destroyed her dorm room.

Determined to turn her life around, Holly announced her plans to leave Salem for good and move to France to be with her mom, Nicole (Ari Zucker). But is she really leaving Days of Our Lives?

While the story appears to be setting up for Holly’s exit, eagle-eyed fans don’t believe that’s the case.

In February, Puzemis shared on her Instagram Story that she was taking part in Days of Our Lives’ 60th anniversary photo shoot, appearing alongside her co-stars Howard and Boyd. With the anniversary taking place November 8, 2025, and the photos yet to surface, fans believe this means Holly will still be around when the milestone airs.

Another clue came from an interview Puzemis had with Alan Locher. Where it was revealed that she was on set judging the Daytime Emmy reels. After watching the content she ran into Lindsey Godfrey (who plays Sarah) and shared how she liked her reel.

According to the Daytime Emmy official rules and regulations, the judging period took place between Thursday, May 22 and Monday, June 9, 2025. Based on Days Of Our Lives superfan and historian Jason47’s website, episodes filmed during that time are expected to air in late April / Early May of 2026.

While there has been no official confirmation about Puzemis’s status, all signs suggest the drama for Holly is far from over.

Puzemis recently spoke with Women’s World about wanting Holly and Tate to be “end-game,” saying, “I mean, it’s not a show without drama and ups and downs… But I’m like, ‘Please, writers, don’t mess it up. Let us be the one couple that’s end game and just keep us happy on the show.’

So how will Holly stay in Salem? Or will she leave temporarily and come back to town when all of the secrets about Sophia are revealed? Fans will have to stay tuned to watch the story unfold.

Days of Our Lives streams new episodes weekdays on Peacock.
