Earlier this year, Days of Our Lives announced that Hank Northrop, son of daytime television icons Lynn Herring and Wayne Northrop, would be joining the beloved soap opera in a secretive role. With his debut days away, the actor is sharing a heartfelt message to fans.

During the 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet, Northrop spoke with Dishin’ Days, a Days of Our Lives focused YouTube channel, about his upcoming appearance. While he stopped short of confirming his character’s identity, the actor didn’t deny speculation that he’ll be playing the recently mentioned Liam.

Northrop teased that his character will have a layered journey, asking viewers to be patient as the story unfolds. “So, I will say this. Give my character, who may or may not be named Liam, give him a little bit of time.”

The actor continued, “Give him a little bit of patience. He comes on strong, but there is beautifulness in the journey and there’s a lot of transformation I will say. So, I would say just expect fun but also don’t judge him too hard at first would be my only thing.

What Do We Know About Liam So Far?

In the September 24, 2025’s episode, Abe Carver passed his ‘mentor’ test to become a literacy coach at Julie’s new bookstore, where he plans to help fellow adults learn how to read. Julie is excited because she has the perfect student for Abe to tutor, Liam Selejko, a young man whom was described as having been recently arrested for stealing a car.

Abe ask Theo if he remembers Liam, since they graduated from Salem High School the same year. Theo revealed that Liam bullied him throughout school, saying “Liam Selejko bullied me mercilessly from 7th grade on, him and those guys he ran with, they’d wait for me by my locker, call me names, push me around.”

Abe later reflected that Liam’s parents were in prison for most of his childhood, and how he felt Liam was set up for failure because the system failed him.

More recently, in the October 15, 2025 episode, Abe confirmed with Liam that he would be tutoring him and set up a session, which Theo overheard and was hurt by.
